The American University in Cairo is accepting 2026–2027 graduate support-grant applications for research, conference presentation and exchange/study-abroad activities, with the next departmental deadline on 20 September 2026.

Research grants can support thesis-related research expenses including supplies, services, data, publication costs, eligible research travel, minor equipment and software with approval. Conference grants assist with expenses for presenting AUC graduate research at recognized professional conferences. Exchange/study-abroad grants may assist with airfare and living expenses for up to one semester as a non-degree student or visiting scholar where credits transfer to AUC.
Eligibility requirements
All enrolled AUC graduate students may apply. Recent graduates may also apply for conference support when presenting results from their graduate thesis. MA/MSc students may receive up to one research grant and one study-abroad grant per study period and are subject to conference-grant limits. PhD students may receive up to three grants per study period, two of which must be conference grants, with no more than one conference grant per year.
