Full job description
The Platform team creates the technology that enables Spotify to learn quickly and scale easily, enabling rapid growth in our users and our business around the globe. Spanning many disciplines, we work to make the business work; creating the infrastructure, tooling, frameworks, and capabilities needed to welcome a billion customers. The IT Studio exists to remove the friction of work, unblocking Spotifiers anywhere, anytime, with simplicity and safety. We’re behind the technology that thousands of Spotifiers rely on every day, spanning devices, identity and access, networking, IT support, audio visual and meeting room technology, productivity platforms, work management tooling, and AI tooling. We’re looking for an AV Engineer II to join the IT Studio in Stockholm and help create reliable, intuitive AV experiences across our office. You’ll own everything from everyday meeting-room technology to high-stakes executive meetings, partnering with our global AV team, IT Support, NetOps, other technical teams, and external vendors.
Own the AV experience across EMEA, including meeting rooms, boardrooms, common areas, labs, lounges, and digital signage. Provide thoughtful, high-quality AV support for executive and VIP meetings, helping ensure technology works reliably when it matters most. Design, document, deliver, and maintain AV solutions and technical standards in partnership with the global AV team. Review technical designs and documentation from external integrators to ensure solutions meet requirements. Lead AV initiatives and projects with internal partners and external vendors, from defining scope through delivery, commissioning, and handover. Act as an escalation point for complex AV issues and support incident, problem, and change management when needed. Monitor AV infrastructure and performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and test new solutions that make collaboration easier for team members. Deploy and support AI-powered capabilities across meeting rooms and video conferencing, while using AI tooling to improve areas such as monitoring, reporting, documentation, and troubleshooting. Maintain AV asset information, contribute to forecasting and budgeting, and create clear technical documentation and training materials. Build strong relationships with vendors, integrators, and internal partners while identifying better ways of working across the team. Share your knowledge with colleagues, support the onboarding of new team members, and continue developing your own AV expertise.
You have 3+ years of AV experience and have delivered AV projects through design, integration, commissioning, and ongoing support. You understand the hardware behind sophisticated AV systems, including DSP, control processors, amplifiers, and related technologies, with experience using platforms such as Crestron, Q-SYS, and Dante. Experience configuring Q-SYS designs is a plus, as are certifications such as AVIXA CTS, Q-SYS Level 2, or Dante Level 3. You have hands-on experience deploying, managing, and monitoring video conferencing systems such as Google Meet hardware and Zoom Rooms. You're familiar with fleet management and monitoring tools and can troubleshoot issues across connected AV systems. You have experience supporting senior executives or VIPs and can provide thoughtful, professional, and discreet support when priorities are time-sensitive. You understand IT and networking fundamentals, including how AV systems communicate across enterprise networks. You're familiar with technologies such as Dante and Q-SYS, including multicast, QoS, and clocking, and have experience using ticketing or work-management systems such as Jira. You communicate technical information clearly and create documentation that helps others understand, support, and use AV technology effectively. You’re curious about how AI is changing meetings and collaboration and are comfortable experimenting with AI tools to improve how you work. You enjoy getting to the root cause of technical problems and finding solutions that improve the experience over the long term. You work effectively both independently and with distributed teams, communicate clearly with people across different roles and levels, and build trusted relationships with partners and vendors. You take ownership of your work, adapt thoughtfully to changing priorities, and are motivated to keep learning as AV technology evolves.
This role is based in Stockholm. We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home. We ask that you come in 4-5 times per week.
