Barista (Starbucks)

Position Description:    The Barista  is responsible for  delivering  an exceptional  guest experience through friendly, efficient service while maintaining  ParkX  brand standards. This role serves as a guest relations ambassador, ensuring a welcoming environment through professionalism, teamwork, and attention to detail. The Barista supports daily operations by preparing beverages, handling point-of-sale transactions, and  maintaining a clean and safe workspace.  Responsibilities   Provide courteous, professional, and engaging service to all guests and associates at all times   Prepare and serve beverages and food items in accordance with brand standards and recipes   Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately and efficiently   Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, equipment, and service areas   Uphold company standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance   Adapt to changes in work areas and operational procedures with a positive, flexible attitude   Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and continuously improve existing ones   Identify and resolve routine operational issues independently; ask for assistance when needed   Actively support team members and assist with additional duties as required   Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures at all times   Properly handle keys, equipment, and materials in accordance with established protocols   Use safe lifting techniques and follow guidelines for handling heavy objects and carts   Safely use, store, and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies   Promptly identify and report safety hazards or security concerns to management   Serve as a guest relations ambassador, reinforcing a positive and welcoming environment   Perform other duties as assigned     Qualification s   Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English   Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with guests   Self-starter with  a calm , even disposition and a team-oriented mindset   Willingness to  assist  co-workers and “pitch in” as needed   Ability to  operate  a point-of-sale system   Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds   Ability to push and pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds   Commitment to  maintaining  a professional appearance and  demeanor     PHYSICAL   DEMANDS   AND   WORK  ENVIRONMENT   Spend time sitting, standing, and walking   Spend time making repetitive motions   Push, pull or lift to 50 pounds   Able to use his/her hands to manipulate/control tools and/or objects   Work under distracting or uncomfortable noise levels   Work indoors in a temperature-controlled environment and outside   Respectful of shared workspace and physical proximity with other   The wage range listed for this position reflects a reasonable estimate and considers multiple factors that influence compensation decisions. These may include, but are not limited to, your skills, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and the specific needs of the organization. The posted range does not reflect adjustments for geographic differentials tied to where the role may be filled. At Comstock, it is not typical for a new hire to start at or near the top of the posted range. Compensation is determined based on the unique circumstances of each candidate. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Any award under this program is subject to its rules and may depend on individual and organizational performance. Virginia Compensation Range $17 — $18 USD
