Full Job Description

Device Brand Studio, an internal agency within the Devices group at Amazon, is seeking a talented Brand Designer to help bring new Amazon offerings to market, products, services, and features within our devices portfolio. The Brand Designer will execute brand identity and creative assets for product lines and campaigns within Amazon Devices, working within established brand systems and creative direction.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in visual design, typography, and brand systems, and the ability to take creative direction and translate it into polished, on-brand work across a range of formats. You will work closely with creative directors, art directors, and copywriters to bring concepts to life, iterating quickly based on feedback and factoring in customer and business requirements. You should be comfortable presenting your work to peers and leads, taking direction well, and knowing when to ask questions versus when to execute. You should have working knowledge of brand guidelines and creative briefs at a top consumer-facing brand like Amazon.

Because the work is varied and fast-paced, you should have strong craft fundamentals and the ability to manage your own time across multiple projects. You will partner with creative directors, art directors, copywriters, and production to deliver design work across product detail pages, merchandising assets, retail fixtures, and packaging.

This role is for a design-forward contributor who executes with precision, takes direction well, and is looking to grow their craft within a fast-moving in-house creative team.

Key job responsibilities • Execute brand-consistent design work across digital, retail, and packaging touchpoints, guided by established creative direction • Apply brand guidelines accurately and consistently across a range of formats and surfaces • Collaborate with creative directors, art directors, and copywriters to bring concepts to life • Iterate quickly on design work based on feedback from creative leads and stakeholders • Prepare and organize design files and assets for handoff to production and other teams • Contribute ideas and point of view in creative reviews, while executing to the direction set by leads • Manage time and priorities across multiple concurrent design requests

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of design experience
  • Have an available online portfolio
  • Experience working with agile development teams (agile/scrum/kanban)
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Suit applications, with high proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Acrobat using macOS

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e-commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns
  • Experience creating services and applications with multiple user touch points on different platforms and devices
