Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Development Manager based in the United States. We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and expand a nationwide commercial equipment subscription service. In this hunter-focused sales role, you will identify prospective customers, build strategic local partnerships, and convert new opportunities into long-term business relationships. You will work directly with businesses across industries such as hospitality, healthcare, restaurants, and food service, helping them access reliable commercial ice machine solutions without the burden of significant upfront investment. Combining prospecting, consultative selling, and territory management, you will take ownership of your sales pipeline and work toward ambitious monthly targets. You will also collaborate closely with local operations teams to ensure successful equipment installations and a positive customer experience. This remote opportunity offers uncapped commission potential, hands-on sales training, and the chance to grow within a fast-paced, collaborative, and development-focused environment.

Drive new business acquisition by consistently meeting or exceeding monthly sales targets through proactive prospecting, networking, cold calling, and face-to-face customer engagement. Manage an assigned territory from a remote home office while maintaining a strong daily presence in the local market to identify opportunities and develop new accounts. Generate leads independently through customer referrals, networking groups, local business associations, and strategic partnerships. Build and maintain productive relationships with referral partners and networking contacts to create a sustainable pipeline of qualified business opportunities. Execute an efficient, consultative sales process designed to close deals quickly, including establishing rapport, identifying customer needs, presenting the service value proposition, addressing objections, and securing signed agreements. Present and demonstrate commercial ice machine subscription solutions to prospective customers across industries, clearly communicating their operational and financial benefits. Conduct thorough site surveys to assess installation requirements, understand technical considerations, and ensure accurate information is provided to operations teams before equipment installation. Serve as a key liaison between sales, local branch operations, and installation coordinators to align new sales with installation schedules and achieve monthly installation targets. Maintain regular communication and hold consistent coordination meetings with local operations teams to facilitate smooth customer onboarding and equipment deployment. Ensure customer satisfaction by understanding client requirements, recommending suitable solutions, and setting clear expectations throughout the sales and installation process. Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, pipeline updates, and opportunity progress within Salesforce CRM. Monitor individual sales performance, maintain pipeline discipline, and report daily sales results and progress to management and team members. Collaborate with colleagues and operations teams to resolve customer concerns, improve sales-to-installation coordination, and support overall business performance. Represent the organization professionally in the marketplace, uphold ethical sales practices, and contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 5 years of outside sales experience, with a demonstrated record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas. Proven success in new business development, particularly in a hunter-style sales role focused on acquiring new B2B accounts. Experience with short sales cycles and preferably a one-call-close sales approach, including the ability to build rapport quickly, identify customer pain points, present value effectively, and secure agreements. Demonstrated ability to generate leads independently through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other proactive prospecting methods. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to develop productive partnerships with local businesses, referral networks, and internal operations teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver persuasive presentations, conduct product demonstrations, and communicate solutions clearly. Experience using CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce, to manage sales pipelines, track customer interactions, maintain accurate records, and monitor sales progress. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage a territory independently, prioritize activities, and maintain consistent daily sales productivity. Self-motivation, discipline, and accountability, with a strong commitment to achieving sales and installation goals. A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand business needs and recommend practical solutions that support long-term satisfaction. Collaborative interpersonal skills and a willingness to work closely with operations, installation coordinators, and referral partners to ensure successful outcomes. Integrity, professionalism, adaptability, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. Willingness and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory, including driving for up to 50% of working hours. Ability to perform the physical activities associated with site visits, including walking, bending, occasional lifting, and reviewing equipment or installation areas. Benefits: Competitive base salary: $60,000–$65,000 annually. Uncapped commission potential: Performance-based earning opportunities through a sales-focused compensation structure with a 55% base salary and 45% commission mix. Comprehensive healthcare coverage , including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Group life insurance to provide additional financial protection. 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching to support long-term financial security. Paid time off and holiday pay to support personal well-being and work-life balance. Remote work arrangement , providing the flexibility to work from a home office while actively developing business throughout the assigned territory. Sales training and development , including structured guidance, practical tools, and resources to help improve performance and close new business. Company-provided tablet and phone to support field sales activities and customer communications. Mileage reimbursement for eligible business travel within the assigned territory. Annual sales recognition events celebrating achievements and rewarding contributions. Professional growth opportunities within a growing, performance-oriented organization. Collaborative team culture with support and mentorship from sales colleagues and local operations teams. Meaningful customer impact , helping businesses access reliable commercial ice equipment through a convenient subscription-based model. Opportunities for continuous learning and innovation , encouraging employees to share ideas, develop new partnerships, and improve sales processes.
