 About the company

Our client is a leading software development company headquartered in New York, with over 4,000 engineers and 20+ global offices. For nearly two decades, they’ve partnered with VC-backed startups and enterprise clients including Classpass, Freshly, Bevi, Mount Sinai, GAIN Capital, Yale School of Medicine, and Merkle.

They specialize in building dedicated engineering teams to deliver high-quality digital products — from custom software and web development to blockchain and AR/VR solutions. Recognized by Inc. 5000, Deloitte, IAOP, Stevie, and the Financial Times as one of the fastest-growing U.S. tech firms.

Now they are expanding their presence in Germany and the broader DACH region and hiring a Business Development Manager to grow revenue and forge new partnerships. You’ll contribute to our client's next-stage growth – taking them past $250M in ARR. Bring your drive – and help turn great ideas into real, working products.

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join the European team. This is an individual contributor role focused on acquiring new clients in the DACH region.

You will own the full sales cycle — from cold outreach and discovery to closing new deals. After closing, you will manage new accounts for 12 months, before handing them over to the account management team.

You’ll work closely with marketing and delivery teams to shape tailored solutions and build strong relationships with tech-driven clients. We are looking for individuals based in Berlin or Vienna.

This role reports to the Business Development Director, EU (based in Vienna).

Key responsibilities

  • Drive new business by sourcing and closing high-potential clients through proactive outreach and ecosystem networking
  • Manage the full sales cycle: new client acquisition through cold outreach, prospecting, and lead generation, discovery, qualification, proposal, negotiation, and closing.
  • Collaborate with Delivery, Legal, and Talent teams to craft compelling, client-specific proposals
  • Represent the company at client meetings and events across the DACH region
  • Onboard new clients and manage relationships for the first 12 months
  • Support seamless handoff and long-term success by nurturing new accounts post-close
  • Maintain CRM and pipeline reporting
  • Leverage tools like Clay, n8n, and Apollo to automate outreach and boost efficiency

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and demonstrable work experience.
  • 3–5 years in B2B tech sales with strong outbound experience (IT services or recruitment sales preferred)
  • Full-cycle ownership: from self-sourcing to closing, including inbound lead management
  • Proven success closing €100K–€200K deals and generating €1M+ in annual revenue
  • Strong understanding of the DACH region and ability to engage with CTOs and tech leadership
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
  • Curious about AI and automation; comfortable in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
  • Native German speaker and fluent English speaker
  • A sound understanding of technical terminology, platforms, tools, and overall landscape is required to engage customers and close sales.
  • A personable, people person who enjoys cultivating in-depth relationships with clients over transactional deals.
  • Hunter mentality
  • Sales-driven person

Why our client:

Partner with top tech companies at the forefront of change

Sell solutions rooted in real technical depth and execution

Use modern tools to work smarter

Join a team that’s scaling with clarity, autonomy, and purpose
