Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Intelligence Data and Reporting Specialist based in Canada. This is an opportunity for a data and reporting professional to play a central role in ensuring accurate, reliable, and actionable performance data across a large client portfolio. You will manage approximately 100 Looker Studio dashboards within an established BigQuery data warehouse and reporting framework. The role combines data management, dashboard development, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and stakeholder support. You will work closely with account teams to customize reports, adapt metrics, and translate technical reporting requirements into useful business insights. Your attention to detail will be critical in identifying anomalies, resolving data issues, and maintaining the integrity of complex data flows. You will also contribute to improving reporting efficiency and integrating new advertising platforms into existing data pipelines. As a fully remote role, this position offers the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with a fast-paced, data-driven digital marketing environment.

Own the deployment, maintenance, quality assurance, and ongoing optimization of approximately 100 Looker Studio client dashboards based on established reporting templates. Respond to requests from account teams to customize dashboards, introduce new visualizations, modify metrics, and adapt reporting to specific client objectives. Work within the existing BigQuery data warehouse architecture to update variables, manage client rosters, map new data fields, and maintain data connections. Integrate new advertising platforms and data sources into established reporting pipelines and frameworks. Serve as the primary internal resource for account managers regarding reporting logic, dashboard functionality, data discrepancies, and platform-related questions. Monitor dashboards and underlying data flows proactively to identify performance issues, inconsistencies, and potential data-quality problems. Investigate and resolve reporting bugs and data mismatches, identifying root causes while minimizing disruption to upstream processes. Maintain strong data integrity and reporting accuracy across a high-volume, multi-client portfolio. Communicate technical reporting issues and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, operational efficiency, and the reliability of client-facing data. Support the consistent application of reporting standards and best practices across the business intelligence function. Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in digital marketing analytics, performance reporting, data management, or a closely related field. Strong hands-on experience building, maintaining, and troubleshooting dashboards in Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio). Solid working knowledge of Google BigQuery and SQL, including data mapping, variable management, and troubleshooting data connections. Strong understanding of digital marketing metrics and advertising-platform ecosystems, including Meta, Google Ads, GA4, TikTok, Amazon, and similar platforms. Practical experience with DevOps practices and workflows. Proven experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of deliverables, including portfolios of 100+ reports, while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose the root cause of broken reports, data mismatches, and reporting anomalies. Excellent organizational skills and a strong focus on precision, consistency, and operational reliability. Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly the ability to explain technical data and reporting concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing requests, and respond efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience working in a digital agency or managing multi-client reporting portfolios is highly preferred. A proactive mindset, with the ability to identify potential data issues before they affect internal teams or clients. Benefits: Competitive annual salary of CAD $75,000–$95,000 . Fully remote work environment. Flexible working schedule designed to support productivity and work-life balance. Benefits package through GroupSource for Canadian employees following completion of the three-month probationary period. Virtual company events focused on connection, collaboration, and professional growth. Casual work environment and dress code. Additional office perks for employees who visit the workplace, including bike storage and a dog-friendly environment. Opportunity to work with large-scale digital marketing data and diverse client portfolios. Exposure to major advertising platforms, cloud data infrastructure, business intelligence, and advanced reporting workflows. Collaborative environment where data accuracy, operational excellence, and client performance are highly valued.
