Call 27 supports qualified researchers based in Brazil to conduct research with a host at a German research institution.
Complete fellowship details
Postdocs receive EUR 3,000/month for 6–24 months; experienced researchers EUR 3,600/month for 6–18 months, plus additional benefits that can include language training, family benefits and travel allowances. Call 27 supports starts September 2027–May 2028.
Eligibility requirements
Brazilian nationals or permanent residents in Brazil may apply; qualifying long-term Brazil-based German nationals may also qualify. Applicants must be resident in Brazil, meet the Germany-residency limit, hold the required doctorate profile and secure a German academic host.
