Complete scholarship details
CEEPUS supports short- and longer-term academic mobility among participating Central and South-Eastern European countries. For Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Civil Affairs confirms that summer-semester individual applications within CEEPUS networks remain open until 1 November 2026. Applicants whose home higher-education institution is not participating in an active network may apply in the Freemover category; the 2026 Freemover application period runs from 2 May through 1 November and is primarily intended for summer-semester mobility. Applications, evaluation and scholarship awards are handled through the CEEPUS online portal. Scholarship amounts vary by host country. The host state finances incoming scholarship holders, and CEEPUS participants are exempt from tuition fees.
Eligibility requirements
Network mobility is open to students, doctoral candidates, teaching staff and non-teaching staff whose home higher-education institution participates in a CEEPUS network for the relevant academic year. Applicants outside an active network can use the Freemover category, subject to the host-country and programme rules shown in the CEEPUS portal.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check whether your home institution participates in an active CEEPUS network and contact the local CEEPUS coordinator where applicable.
- If applying as a Freemover, verify that the intended host country accepts the relevant Freemover mobility and follow the portal requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against the Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Civil Affairs current 2026/27 CEEPUS IV call and its official CEEPUS programme page. Both state a 1 November deadline for summer-semester individual applications; Freemover applications run through 1 November 2026. Scholarship amounts differ by host country, so no single amount is stated.
