Chevening is the UK Government’s international scholarship programme. The current Iran competition is open for 2027–2028 study. Standard support includes tuition fees, approved economy travel, an arrival allowance, visa application cost, a departure allowance, a monthly living stipend, a travel top-up allowance and up to £75 toward required tuberculosis testing.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet the current Chevening citizenship and residence rules, commit to returning to their country of award for at least two years after the scholarship, have at least 2,800 hours of post-undergraduate work experience, and hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for an eligible UK master’s programme. Current guidance says the undergraduate degree must have been completed at least two years before the application deadline.
