Overview
Applications are open for the 2027–2028 Chevening Scholarship for eligible applicants from Jordan to pursue a fully funded one-year taught master's degree in the United Kingdom.
Complete scholarship details
The Jordan application window closes on 6 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC. A standard full Chevening Scholarship normally covers tuition fees, approved economy travel to and from the scholar's country of residence, an arrival allowance, the visa application cost, a departure allowance, qualifying TB-test support, a travel top-up allowance and a monthly living stipend. MBA candidates should review the current fee-cap rules.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet Chevening's current eligibility rules, including citizenship of a Chevening-eligible country or territory, at least 2,800 hours of work experience acquired after completing the undergraduate degree over a minimum of two years, an undergraduate degree qualifying them for a UK master's programme, commitment to return to their country of award for at least two years after the scholarship, and application to three eligible UK courses with an unconditional offer from at least one by the relevant timeline deadline.
Tips for this scholarship
Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.
- Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
- Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
- Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
- Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.
Verification notes
Verified against Chevening's current Jordan country page, scholarship guidance, work-experience guidance and funding FAQ on 2026-09-07 UTC. The Jordan page explicitly states the 6 October 2026 11:00 UTC deadline.
