The current Laos award page confirms applications are open until 6 October 2026 at 11:00 UTC. Current Chevening support includes tuition fees, approved economy travel to and from the scholar's country of residence, an arrival allowance, one visa application, a departure allowance, a travel top-up, a monthly living stipend, and up to £75 toward TB testing where required. Applicants from Laos should also note the country page's guidance about travelling to another country for UK visa processing and TB testing because those facilities are not available in Laos.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country or territory, intend to support their country of award, commit to returning home for at least two years after the scholarship, have at least 2,800 hours of qualifying post-undergraduate work experience, hold an undergraduate degree qualifying them for a UK master's programme, and apply to three eligible UK master's courses under current Chevening rules.
