Chevening funds eligible one-year taught master's study in the UK. Published support includes university tuition fees, approved economy travel to and from the scholar's country of residence, an arrival allowance, the cost of one visa application, a departure allowance, a travel top-up, a monthly living stipend, and up to GBP 75 toward tuberculosis testing where required. The Madagascar page notes there is no UK visa processing centre in Madagascar, so selected scholars may need to travel to another country for visa processing; discretionary reimbursement may be available for some related travel costs.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country or territory and meet Madagascar's award route, hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for a UK master's course, have at least 2,800 hours of eligible work experience gained after completing their undergraduate degree and over at least two years, and commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after the scholarship. Applicants choose three eligible UK master's courses and must satisfy all current Chevening eligibility and offer requirements.
