Standard scholarship support includes tuition fees, approved economy travel to and from the scholar’s country of residence, arrival and departure allowances, one entry-clearance visa application cost, a travel top-up allowance, a monthly living allowance, and up to £75 toward required TB testing.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants under the Niger award must meet Chevening’s current eligibility rules, including citizenship of a Chevening-eligible country or territory, an undergraduate degree qualifying them for a UK master’s programme, at least 2,800 hours of post-undergraduate work experience, and a commitment to return to their home country for at least two years after the award. Chevening supports eligible one-year taught UK master’s courses.
