Chevening is the UK Government's international scholarship programme. The standard scholarship covers approved tuition fees, economy travel to and from the scholar's country of residence, an arrival allowance, the cost of the scholar's UK entry-clearance application, a departure allowance, a travel top-up allowance, a monthly living stipend, and up to GBP 75 toward tuberculosis testing where required.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country or territory and, where the award is from an ODA-eligible country, meet Chevening's residence rule; commit to returning to their home country for at least two years after the scholarship; have at least 2,800 hours of post-undergraduate work experience acquired over at least two years; hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for a UK master's programme and was completed at least two years before the application deadline; and apply to three eligible UK master's courses, obtaining at least one unconditional offer by the later offer deadline.
