Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Chief of Staff, Marketing based in the United States. The Chief of Staff, Marketing will serve as a strategic partner to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), helping translate marketing priorities into actionable plans and measurable business outcomes. This high-impact role drives alignment across marketing functions and go-to-market teams, ensuring strategic initiatives move forward efficiently. Combining strategic thinking with operational excellence, the successful candidate will oversee cross-functional programs, executive communications, performance reporting, and organizational planning. The role also emphasizes AI-powered workflows and automation to streamline reporting, generate insights, and support faster, better-informed decisions. Working closely with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance leaders, this individual will identify opportunities, resolve execution challenges, and maintain accountability for shared goals. It is an opportunity to influence marketing strategy and execution within a globally recognized technology intelligence environment that values collaboration, innovation, and professional growth.

Strategic support to the CMO: Act as a trusted thought partner, helping prioritize strategic initiatives, support executive decision-making, and coordinate quarterly and annual planning cycles and business reviews. Executive reporting and communications: Prepare executive-ready materials, including board presentations, investor updates, leadership talking points, marketing performance reports, and budget analyses. Strategic initiative management: Lead cross-functional programs from initial scoping and planning through implementation, delivery, and post-launch evaluation. Marketing operating rhythm: Coordinate leadership meetings, agendas, planning calendars, communication cadences, and follow-up on key decisions and action items. Portfolio oversight: Maintain visibility into strategic initiatives, tracking milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, accountable owners, and progress against objectives. Budget and vendor management: Support marketing budget tracking and coordinate agency and vendor management activities. Cross-functional alignment: Partner with Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations, and Finance to align priorities, monitor shared goals, and evaluate performance indicators such as pipeline contribution and campaign results. Execution and transformation: Identify and resolve cross-functional roadblocks, escalate critical risks when necessary, and lead special projects involving go-to-market changes, marketing technology, and system implementations. AI and automation: Use Claude and other AI tools to automate recurring reports, support analysis, and produce executive-ready materials, enabling the team to focus on insights, decisions, and execution rather than manual reporting. Change management and stakeholder engagement: Serve as a communication bridge between the CMO and internal or external stakeholders, develop messaging for organizational changes, and handle sensitive matters with discretion and diplomacy. Requirements A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing Strategy, Marketing Operations, Program or Project Management, or Business Operations. Previous experience in a Chief of Staff position or a comparable strategic operations role is an advantage. Strong understanding of marketing and go-to-market models, including demand generation, product marketing, brand strategy, marketing operations, and Sales alignment. Demonstrated experience working with executive stakeholders and leading complex, cross-functional initiatives. Strong program and project management capabilities, including planning, risk management, progress reporting, and coordination across departments. Experience analyzing and reporting marketing performance, including pipeline contribution, budget utilization, and return on investment (ROI). Proficiency with AI tools and an automation-first mindset, with the ability to streamline recurring reporting, analysis, and executive communications using tools such as Claude. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, concurrent deadlines, and shifting business needs. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, maintain a broad perspective, and identify opportunities for improvement. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare polished executive materials and engage confidently with senior leaders. High levels of discretion, integrity, emotional intelligence, and professional judgment when handling sensitive information. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, adapt to changing priorities, and drive initiatives through to completion. Benefits Expected total annual compensation: $150,000–$155,000, inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, depending on location and experience. Paid vacation: 15 days annually, prorated based on start date. Company-paid holidays: 12 holidays per year. Paid sick leave: 6 days, prorated based on start date and subject to state-specific variations. Floating holidays: 2 additional days, prorated based on start date. Volunteer time: 1 paid volunteer day. Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance. Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with a company match of 3% on the first 6% of employee contributions. Disability coverage: Company-paid short-term disability insurance. Life insurance: Company-paid life insurance. Parental leave: Company-paid parental leave. Remote work: Remote employment is available, subject to the company's approved US state list.
