Overview: Guidepoint is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Sales & Client Growth Intern to support our Sales and Client Growth teams in expanding Guidepoint’s presence across Consulting, Institutional, and Corporate clients in India. The intern will play an important role in identifying and engaging with new and potential clients , generating qualified leads, supporting client outreach, and helping the team identify new business opportunities. This role will provide hands-on exposure to B2B sales, business development, client engagement, account growth, and the consulting and financial services ecosystem . The ideal candidate should be confident, energetic, highly organized, comfortable speaking with professionals, and interested in developing a career in sales, business development, or client management. What You Will Own:   New Client & Lead Generation Identify new and potential clients across Consulting Firms, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Corporates, and other institutional accounts . Conduct research to identify relevant companies, teams, decision-makers, and potential users of Guidepoint’s services. Build and maintain prospect lists and continuously expand the client pipeline. Reach out to prospective clients through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other appropriate channels . Introduce Guidepoint and its offerings to potential clients and generate interest in the platform and services. Qualify initial leads and pass relevant opportunities to the Sales / Client Growth team for further engagement. Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, leads, and follow-up actions in CRM. Sales & Business Development Support Support the Sales and Client Growth teams in identifying and developing new business opportunities. Assist with prospecting and account mapping for strategic and high-potential clients. Support preparation for client meetings, presentations, account reviews, and business development activities. Conduct research on target accounts, industries, and key decision-makers. Follow up with prospects and existing contacts to ensure timely progression of opportunities. Track the status of leads and opportunities and provide regular updates to the relevant team members. Client Engagement & Account Growth Support proactive outreach to existing and prospective clients to understand their research and information needs. Identify opportunities for deeper engagement, cross-selling, and expansion within existing accounts. Help increase client coverage and engagement across target accounts. Capture client feedback and share relevant insights with the Sales and Client Growth teams. Support initiatives aimed at improving client engagement, retention, and revenue growth. Market & Account Research Research Consulting, Institutional, PE/VC, Investment Banking, and Corporate organizations to identify potential opportunities. Develop an understanding of how different client segments use expert networks and primary research. Monitor relevant industry developments, company announcements, and market activity to identify potential sales triggers. Build account intelligence and identify relevant stakeholders within target organizations. Reporting & Performance Tracking Maintain accurate prospect and client information in CRM systems. Track outreach activity, leads generated, meetings/opportunities created, and follow-up actions. Prepare regular reports on lead generation and business development activity. Work with the Sales and Client Growth teams to improve outreach strategies and conversion of leads into opportunities. Experience You Will Bring:   Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree. Skills You Will Bring:   Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written English. Comfortable speaking with professionals and senior stakeholders. Strong research and analytical skills. Highly proactive, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership. Comfortable making outbound calls and conducting cold outreach. Good understanding of Microsoft Office / Google Workspace. Ability to organize multiple prospects, conversations, and follow-ups effectively. Interest in sales, business development, consulting, finance, private equity, venture capital, or corporate strategy is preferred. Prior internship or experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or client-facing roles is an advantage but not mandatory . What Success Looks Like: Consistently identifying and researching new target accounts. Generating a strong pipeline of qualified leads across Consulting, Institutional, and Corporate segments. Successfully connecting with relevant decision-makers and potential users. Converting outreach into meaningful conversations and meetings for the Sales / Client Growth team. Maintaining high-quality and accurate CRM data. Demonstrating strong ownership, persistence, and professionalism in client interactions.
