We are seeking an experienced Clinical Business Analyst specializing in oncology to support a large-scale healthcare technology transformation initiative. In this role, you will help standardize oncology workflows, clinical documentation, order sets, and digital processes across acute-care healthcare settings. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinical subject matter experts, and IT teams to translate clinical needs into effective system solutions. Your expertise in business analysis and healthcare information systems will help improve consistency, efficiency, and quality across clinical operations. You will contribute to requirements gathering, workflow analysis, solution design, clinical content development, and system validation. Working within a multidisciplinary project environment, you will support the successful implementation of a Clinical Information System (CIS) while promoting stakeholder alignment and knowledge sharing. This is a remote contract opportunity based in New Brunswick, offering the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the evolution of digital oncology care.
Gather, analyze, document, and validate oncology-related business and system requirements to ensure clinical needs are accurately translated into functional solutions. Facilitate workshops, interviews, and collaborative sessions with physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, clinical specialists, and technical stakeholders. Conduct business process analysis and gap assessments to identify opportunities for workflow improvement, clinical standardization, and operational efficiency. Support the design and development of standardized oncology order sets, computerized provider order entry (CPOE) workflows, clinical documentation templates, and related digital processes. Develop detailed solution designs, process maps, use cases, user stories, and business analysis documentation to guide implementation activities. Collaborate with clinical and IT teams to align clinical requirements with technical capabilities and ensure solutions meet operational and patient care needs. Build, configure, validate, and test clinical content within enterprise Clinical Information Systems, supporting quality assurance and implementation readiness. Support the deployment of standardized clinical workflows and digital solutions across acute-care environments, helping ensure consistent adoption among healthcare professionals. Identify and document requirements involving pharmacy, medical imaging, laboratory services, and other interconnected healthcare functions. Prepare and maintain workflow documentation, user guides, training materials, and stakeholder communication plans to facilitate implementation and change adoption. Coordinate with project teams across multiple workstreams, manage competing priorities, and contribute to the timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes. Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and support knowledge transfer to strengthen internal capabilities and ensure the long-term sustainability of clinical systems. Requirements A university degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. An equivalent combination of relevant oncology education and professional experience may also be considered. At least 5 years of experience as a Clinical Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or in a comparable role, with responsibilities involving oncology requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use-case analysis, business process analysis, solution design, and business analysis documentation within the last 10 years. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with large-scale acute-care Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Clinical Information System/Solution (CIS) platforms, with direct exposure to oncology-related healthcare operations. At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Clinical Informatics Analyst on healthcare information system implementation projects involving oncology and direct clinical operations. Demonstrated knowledge of oncology workflows, standardized order sets, CPOE, clinical documentation templates, workflow design, and clinical content management. Proven ability to perform requirements elicitation, business process mapping, gap analysis, requirements validation, use-case development, user-story writing, and detailed solution design. Experience building, validating, testing, and implementing clinical content within enterprise healthcare information systems. Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary clinical, operational, and technical teams. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Teams. At least 2 years of experience using Atlassian JIRA or comparable project tracking tools to coordinate tasks and support project delivery. Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. French and English proficiency is preferred. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple project streams, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines. Experience within public healthcare authorities is an asset, as is the ability to mentor colleagues, facilitate knowledge transfer, and support sustainable clinical system operations. Benefits Competitive hourly compensation: CAD $100–$110 per hour. Remote work arrangement: Opportunity to work remotely from New Brunswick, Canada. Contract opportunity: Advertised contract period from November 9, 2026, to November 8, 2028. Meaningful healthcare impact: Contribute to the standardization of oncology workflows and the improvement of digital clinical processes across acute-care facilities. Professional collaboration: Work alongside physicians, nurses, pharmacists, clinical informatics professionals, and IT specialists on a large-scale healthcare transformation program.
