Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Evangelist based in Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded graduate or early-career professional to help developers build, deploy, and scale applications in modern cloud environments. You will create practical technical guides, support customer onboarding, and demonstrate how cloud-native technologies can simplify complex deployment workflows. Working closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams, you will help developers get the most out of a self-service cloud infrastructure platform. You will explore popular open-source projects, share best practices, and turn real-world deployment challenges into useful technical resources. The role also offers opportunities to engage with developer communities, contribute customer insights to product development, and participate in industry events. In a remote-first, fast-growing startup environment, you will gain hands-on exposure to Kubernetes, containers, and DevOps practices. Strong performers can develop their careers toward software engineering, solutions engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles.
You will combine technical content creation, customer support, product education, and community engagement to help developers successfully deploy workloads in cloud-native environments. Your responsibilities will include: Create high-quality technical guides, tutorials, and documentation that explain how to deploy popular open-source projects on the platform. Serve as an initial point of contact for technical deployment questions from new customers, helping them troubleshoot challenges and identify effective solutions. Lead technical onboarding sessions, explaining platform capabilities and best practices for deploying and managing workloads. Research popular open-source projects and identify opportunities to create useful deployment guides and other developer resources. Develop in-depth knowledge of the platform's features and the broader cloud-native ecosystem, including cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes. Support technical demonstrations during sales calls and customer meetings, helping prospective customers understand product capabilities and practical use cases. Identify recurring customer challenges and collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve the user experience and address technical pain points. Document customer success stories, deployment approaches, and common implementation patterns to help other developers learn from practical examples. Build relationships with local developer communities by attending meetups, participating in technical discussions, and sharing relevant knowledge. Collect, analyse, and communicate customer feedback to inform product improvements and influence the product roadmap. Stay up to date with emerging cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes developments, containerisation, and DevOps best practices. Attend industry events and conferences to connect with developers, learn about emerging technologies, and strengthen community engagement, approximately twice per year. Demonstrate technical aptitude and initiative, with opportunities to collaborate more closely with engineering or solutions engineering teams as your skills develop. Requirements: You will bring a strong technical foundation, excellent written communication skills, and a genuine interest in cloud infrastructure and developer tools. This opportunity is suited to someone at the beginning of their career who enjoys learning, solving technical problems, and making complex concepts accessible. The ideal candidate will have: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field from a recognised university, or equivalent practical experience. Familiarity with Kubernetes and containerisation gained through academic studies, personal projects, internships, or professional experience. A strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and DevOps practices. Excellent written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly through documentation, tutorials, and guides. The ability to research technical topics independently, experiment with deployment workflows, and translate findings into practical instructions for developers. Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in troubleshooting deployment issues and helping customers succeed. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with engineering, product, sales, and customer-facing teams. An interest in open-source software, developer tools, and the wider cloud-native ecosystem. The confidence to engage with technical communities, participate in meetups, and communicate with developers at different experience levels. A willingness to work in or relocate to a major metropolitan area to participate in local developer communities, as required by the role. A proactive approach to learning, with the motivation to develop deeper technical expertise and potentially progress into software engineering, solutions engineering, or cloud infrastructure. Benefits: Competitive compensation: Annual salary of £50,000–£60,000, or an equivalent amount depending on location. Equity package: The opportunity to share in the organisation's long-term growth and success. Remote-first work environment: Remote working options with opportunities for in-person collaboration. Flexible working hours: Flexibility to organise your working schedule. Paid time off: 31 days of paid leave annually. Comprehensive benefits: Additional benefits to support employee wellbeing and professional needs. Career development opportunities: A potential progression path into software engineering, solutions engineering, or cloud infrastructure for strong performers. Technical learning and exposure: Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, DevOps practices, and open-source projects. Collaboration with engineering specialists: Opportunities to learn from an experienced engineering team and contribute to solving complex technical challenges. Industry travel: Opportunities to attend major industry conferences, with approximately two events per year.
