CNPq and France's ANR are accepting joint Brazil–France research proposals in selected health, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence and quantum-science areas.

Call 32/2026 will select up to four joint projects between Brazilian and French research groups. Eligible thematic areas include One Health topics in immunology, infectious diseases, inflammation and environment, plus high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, sustainable digital technologies and quantum sciences and technologies. Approved joint proposals are funded by both agencies, with each agency supporting its national research team. Each Brazilian-side proposal submitted to CNPq may request up to R$1.5 million, exclusively for operating/current project expenses.
Eligibility requirements
The Brazilian proposer must hold a doctoral degree and have an employment relationship with the project host institution, or, if retired, document ongoing academic-scientific activity and provide the host institution's agreement. Brazilian and French teams must prepare the scientific project jointly; the French coordinator must also submit a copy to ANR. Applicants must follow all conditions in the official call.
