CNPq Call 21/2026 is open from 3 August to 30 September 2026. The programme supports Brazilian researchers collaborating with active ERC-funded projects after obtaining formal interest and acceptance from an ERC principal investigator. CNPq may support up to 10 projects, with a funding limit of R$200,000 per project. Eligible mobility scholarships are listed at €2,100 per month for periods from 1 to 12 months, subject to the official call rules and budget availability.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must meet CNPq's researcher requirements, hold a PhD, identify an eligible active ERC-funded host project and secure formal acceptance before submitting the Brazilian proposal. A mandatory expression-of-interest step precedes the proposal submission through CNPq's PICC platform.
