Manage team operations: Activate and assign claims, monitor workloads, and ensure team members follow internal processes for escalations, settlement authority requests, and legal reviews. Collaborate with legal and claims leadership: Work with in-house counsel to interpret policy coverage and jurisdictional requirements, and review significant losses with the Claims Manager and during claims roundtable meetings. Evaluate supporting evidence: Review repair estimates, documentation, evidence, and expert reports to support appropriate liability assessments and resolution strategies. Identify recovery and fraud opportunities: Recognize potential subrogation opportunities and fraud indicators, ensuring appropriate referrals are made. Support complex claim resolution: Handle escalated calls from adjusters, provide guidance on challenging cases, and help resolve issues efficiently. Develop and mentor employees: Train new team members, provide ongoing coaching, support professional development, and conduct employee performance reviews. Drive continuous improvement: Promote consistent application of claims procedures, effective time management, and high-quality service across the team. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree or higher is required. Claims experience: At least 5 years of experience handling commercial general liability property damage and automobile claims. Leadership experience: Significant supervisory experience, including the ability to manage, coach, and develop claims professionals.
