Complete scholarship details

Applications open 8 September 2026 and close 20 October 2026 at 16:00 BST. Current benefits include approved return airfare, full approved tuition, a monthly stipend of £1,712 or £2,000 for scholars at institutions in the London metropolitan area, and an eligible study-travel grant, with additional family/disability support in qualifying cases. Applicants must submit through CSC Central and also follow the process of an eligible nominating agency or organisation; the CSC does not accept direct applications without nomination.

Eligibility requirements

Applicants must be citizens of, or have refugee/British Protected Person status connected to, an eligible Commonwealth country and be permanently resident in an eligible country; be available to start UK study in September 2027; normally hold at least an upper-second-class degree or a lower-second-class degree plus a relevant postgraduate qualification; be unable to afford UK study without the scholarship; and provide all required documents. Applicants must also meet the rules of their chosen nominator.

Tips for this scholarship

Practical Job and Scholarship guidance. These tips do not replace official rules or create new eligibility requirements.

  1. Check eligibility, funding coverage, study/project level and every required document before investing time in the application.
  2. Prepare transcripts, references, language tests, proposal/motivation statement and proof documents early.
  3. Separate the scholarship deadline from any university/program admission deadline; they may be different.
  4. Treat “fully funded” as a source fact only when the official provider explicitly confirms the covered costs.

Verification notes

Verified against the current CSC 2027–2028 Master’s Scholarship page. The call opens 8 September 2026 and closes 20 October at 16:00 BST, normalized to 15:00 UTC. CSC states there is no application fee. Stipend is location-dependent, so no single universal value is stored.
