How can you make a difference?
Under the supervision of the Communication Officer (Brand Positioning), NO-2 and in close coordination with the fundraising team, the incumbent will contribute to advancing UNICEF Mexico's advocacy, brand positioning and fundraising objectives by supporting the development and coordination of integrated public-facing campaigns. The post will help drive audience engagement, strengthen trust in UNICEF and create communication opportunities that mobilize support for children.
Key functions/accountabilities include:
- Communication materials: Develop and deliver communication materials supporting flagship campaigns and awareness
- Media relations for integrated campaigns: Support media engagement to promote campaigns and amplify UNICEF's work.
- Monitoring and evaluation: Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Celebrities, partners and special events: Strengthen partnerships and stakeholder engagement for campaigns and special events.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
Minimum requirements:

Education: A completed First Level university degree (Bachelor`s degree) in one of the following fields is required: preferably in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.

Work Experience: Minimum of one year of practical professional work experience in communication, media, and/or interactive digital media is required. Proven track record of successful campaigning in a marketing, advocacy or brand context is required.

Skills: Expertise in communication campaign development and implementation as well as reporting and monitoring are fundamental.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
Desirables:
-
Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) is desirable.

Experience in production of communication materials (including video, digital and mass media related products) is an asset.

Relationship building and networking, ability to gather audience insight, brand positioning and analytics are an asset for the position.

Background/familiarity with emergency situations is desirable. Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
