ABOUT THE ROLE
Full job description
ABOUT THE ROLE As the Customer On-Site Manager, you will be Traba’s senior operational leader embedded within one of our most strategic client partnerships: a leading manufacturer of AI inference hardware. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact between Traba and the client’s on-site leadership, owning service delivery end to end and representing Traba inside a highly technical, fast-moving production environment. This role is built for a polished, analytically minded operator who can earn the trust of sophisticated engineering and operations stakeholders, translate their needs into clear workforce plans, and run a high-performing team on the ground. You’ll be the face of Traba at the site, and the standard you set will define the partnership. This is a full-time, on-site role (40+ hours per week) in the San Jose/Milpitas area. Coverage may expand to multiple regional locations. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Client Partnership: Own the relationship with the client’s operations, manufacturing, and leadership teams. Run regular business reviews, anticipate needs ahead of production ramps, and act as a trusted advisor on workforce strategy.
- Service Delivery & Performance: Drive measurable outcomes across fill rate, attendance, retention, quality, and productivity. Define site KPIs, track them rigorously, and present clear, data-backed reporting to client and Traba leadership.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with the client to forecast labor needs across production schedules, launches, and scale-up phases. Translate forecasts into staffing, onboarding, and scheduling plans that keep the line covered.
- On-Site Leadership: Oversee worker vetting, onboarding, training, and performance management end to end. Coach workers, enforce site standards, and build a culture of accountability, safety, and quality.
- Process & Compliance: Ensure workers are trained on and adhere to site-specific protocols, which may include ESD handling, cleanroom practices, safety standards, and quality procedures. Identify process gaps and implement improvements.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation: Proactively surface risks before they impact the client. Manage incidents and escalations with sound judgment, discretion, and clear communication.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Serve as the bridge between the client, Traba Operations, Worker Support, and leadership, ensuring alignment and fast execution.
- Account Growth: Identify opportunities to expand Traba’s footprint within the account and partner with internal teams to execute. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain/Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA or similar) a plus.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 3–4 years in an on-site operations leadership, account management, or client-facing operations role.
- Proven track record managing high-stakes client relationships with senior or technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable building reports, tracking KPIs, and using data to drive decisions (Excel/Google Sheets proficiency expected).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; able to present confidently to executives and engineers alike.
- Executive presence: polished, composed, and credible in a professional, high-expectations environment.
- Experience leading or coaching frontline teams, with the ability to set and enforce high standards.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with sound judgment under pressure.
- Comfortable working on-site in a manufacturing environment and adapting quickly to evolving priorities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in semiconductor, electronics, hardware, automotive, or other advanced manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ESD, cleanroom, ISO, or lean/Six Sigma practices.
- Background in staffing, workforce management, or operations consulting.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
