The current DAAD EPOS programme supports selected postgraduate courses for the 2027/28 intake. Funding is normally 12 to 42 months and includes monthly payments of EUR 992 for graduates or EUR 1,400 for doctoral candidates, plus insurance and travel support subject to programme rules. Deadlines vary by course and applicants apply to the relevant course, not directly to DAAD.

Applicants are graduates from eligible developing or newly industrialised countries, normally with at least two years of professional experience, an appropriate degree, strong academic performance and development-related motivation. Course-specific academic and language requirements also apply.
