Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Data Developer based in Brazil. Join an international, remote-first team working at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and financial technology. As a Data Developer, you will build and maintain data pipelines that transform complex financial information into reliable, actionable insights. Your work will support APIs, dashboards, performance reporting, and internal cost analysis across decentralized assets and traditional financial instruments. You will collaborate with data leadership to improve data architecture, acquisition processes, and platform capabilities. The role combines hands-on development with analytical problem-solving, requiring a strong focus on data quality, scalability, and clean engineering practices. This opportunity is ideal for an independent, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a distributed environment and is interested in decentralized technologies and financial data systems.
As a Data Developer, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of data infrastructure and analytical processes. Reporting to the data lead, you will help ensure that financial and operational data is accurate, accessible, and useful across the organization. Develop and maintain extract, transform, and load (ETL) pipelines for core platform data acquisition, supporting downstream APIs and dashboards. Collaborate with the data lead to design and improve data architecture, strategy, and systems. Consolidate and analyze data to produce monthly performance reports for decentralized proof-of-stake nodes. Support data ingestion, integration, and analysis across decentralized assets, Web3 technologies, traditional financial instruments, and internal cost reporting. Monitor data quality, investigate inconsistencies, and implement improvements to data accuracy and reliability. Apply sound software engineering practices, clean code principles, and scalable architecture to data development projects. Help technical and non-technical colleagues understand, access, and effectively use available datasets. Contribute to data analytics, business intelligence, and visualization initiatives that turn complex information into clear insights. Manage end-to-end data processes independently while maintaining transparent communication with an international team. Handle sensitive financial information and internal cost metrics responsibly, following appropriate confidentiality and data governance practices. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines data development skills with analytical thinking, strong engineering fundamentals, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. The position requires clear communication, sound judgment, and a proactive approach to solving technical challenges. Approximately 1–3 years of relevant professional experience in data development, software engineering, data analytics, or a related field. Experience with data analysis, data integration, and ETL development or maintenance. Proficiency in TypeScript for platform development. Familiarity with relational database management systems, particularly PostgreSQL. Understanding of software engineering standards, clean code principles, data quality management, and scalable system design. Ability to interpret complex technical and financial data structures and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong ownership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tasks independently and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with distributed colleagues across time zones. High levels of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail when handling sensitive financial data. Flexibility in working hours and communication styles to accommodate an international team. An interest in decentralized assets, blockchain technologies, and Web3 data is highly desirable. Preferred Technical Skills: Programming languages: Python; Rust for high-performance platform development. Frameworks and development tools: Express, Prisma ORM, and related technologies. Databases and cloud data platforms: PostgreSQL, Timescale, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, CloudSQL, and AWS data services. Data processing and streaming: Apache Spark, Kinesis, and Kafka. Business intelligence and visualization: Looker Studio and related tools. Data orchestration: Apache Airflow, Prefect, or Dagster. Infrastructure and deployment: Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform. Version control and CI/CD: Git, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI. Domain knowledge: Familiarity with decentralized assets, proof-of-stake infrastructure, and financial data systems. Benefits: Fully remote work arrangement. Full-time employment. Access to a villa. Access to an investment desk.
