BlackStone eIT is looking for a dedicated Data Governance Specialist to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that our organization's data assets are well-managed, secure, and compliant with relevant regulations.
The successful candidate will lead initiatives to implement data governance policies, promote data quality, and collaborate with various departments to maintain data integrity across systems.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain data governance frameworks and policies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable data protection and privacy laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define roles, responsibilities, and data ownership.
- Monitor data quality metrics and support remediation efforts.
- Facilitate training and communication to promote data governance awareness.
- Support audits and assessments related to data governance.
- Utilize data governance tools and technologies to manage metadata and data lineage.
- Assist in the integration of data governance standards into daily operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.
- 8 years of experience in data governance or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and data quality processes.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with data governance tools is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization.
