StubHub is seeking a Director of Equity Accounting to l ead the end-to-end accounting, valuation, and forecasting of our global equity incentive plans. This is a high- impact role where you will act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, ensuring our complex equity structures are technically sound and compliant.   Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY What You'll Do: Provide subject matter expertise on accounting guidance, interpretation and application of accounting standards under company policy and GAAP relating to stock-based compensation and other equity matters.   Responsible for equity related technical accounting research and implementation, including reviewing proposed accounting standards and determining the potential impact to the Company.   Responsible for the end-to-end administration of equity awards from planning and design to award settlement and providing cross-functional support between HR, Legal, Payroll and Treasury on all equity matters   Review and document complex accounting matters and making recommendations for appropriate treatment.   Document and research financial, tax and regulatory reporting changes.   Lead in the preparation of accounting transaction memos detailing significant transactions.   Assist in the quarterly preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, and related SEC disclosures for public filings including forms: 10K, 10Q, 8Ks, 3s/4s and proxy. Advise on the financial statement review process to ensure all matters are appropriately disclosed.   Responsible for the preparation and updating of accounting policies and development and maintenance of the Company accounting policy manual   Interact with independent auditors on accounting technical matters   Responsible for providing training to accounting department related to accounting policies and new accounting standards   Fulfill ad-hoc requests from management and within the accounting department and other areas as needed.   This person will work with key stakeholders to ensure accounting and financial reporting process risks have been identified, assessed and documented in accordance with SOX requirements.   What You’ve Done: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance   CPA required   SEC Reporting experience   7+ years of related experience with minimum of 5 years of public accounting preferable   Strong US GAAP knowledge and research skills   Big 4 experience   Hands on knowledge and experience accounting financial reporting with respect to a technology company, including revenue recognition, software development (internal use software), impairment considerations   Excellent verbal and written communication, including extensive experience writing and reviewing technical accounting memos   Ability to clearly articulate accounting matters to senior executives   Provide strategic direction and sound business judgment that result in the achievement of finance and companywide objectives   Proficient with MS desktop applications   Equity platform experience    Nice to Have:   Public accounting background   Certified Equity Professional   M&A experience with equity treatment   Workiva and NetSuite experience   What We Offer:    Accelerated Growth Environment : Immerse yourself in an environment designed for swift skill and knowledge enhancement, where you have the autonomy to lead experiments and tests on a massive scale.   Top Tier Compensation Package : Enjoy a rewarding compensation package that includes enticing stock incentives, aligning with our commitment to recognizing and valuing your contributions.   Flexible Time Off : Embrace a healthy work-life balance with unlimited Flex Time Off, providing you the flexibility to manage your schedule and recharge as needed.   Comprehensive Benefits Package : Prioritize your well-being with a comprehensive benefits package, featuring 401k, and premium Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance options.   The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.
