Full job description

The Director contributes to governance, heritage and social-service policy and strategy; oversees institutional reforms and governance matters involving the Immigration Control Department, Zimbabwe Republic Police, Civil Registry and State Lotteries; coordinates with national archives and museums on heritage matters; and leads budget and funding-strategy development for the portfolio.

Requirements & qualifications

A bachelor's degree in peace studies, governance, public administration, sociology or a related field is required. Applicants need at least eight years of experience, including two years at Deputy Director level or equivalent, and must demonstrate institutional-reform leadership, knowledge of governance systems, cultural-heritage preservation and social-service regulation, and policy-drafting and implementation expertise. A relevant master's degree is an advantage.
