Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Investor Bridge & Construction Lending based in the United States. We are seeking an experienced residential transition lending professional to lead the growth of a national construction and fix-and-flip lending channel. In this role, you will serve as a key technical and business development resource, helping sales teams identify opportunities, structure competitive financing solutions, and increase funded loan production. You will collaborate with account executives, brokers, correspondent lenders, builders, real estate investors, and lending partners to support transactions from initial evaluation through funding. Your expertise in residential bridge lending, ground-up construction, and fix-and-flip financing will help improve loan quality, operational efficiency, and partner satisfaction. You will also play a critical role in strengthening industry relationships, expanding product adoption, and developing sales capabilities across a nationwide network. This remote leadership opportunity combines strategic business development, hands-on deal support, and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic mortgage lending environment.

Serve as the primary resource for construction and fix-and-flip lending scenarios, reviewing prospective transactions, assessing initial eligibility, recommending appropriate loan structures, and establishing clear expectations early in the process. Partner with account executives on client meetings, sales presentations, and discussions with builders, real estate investors, brokers, and correspondent lending partners. Identify and develop construction, bridge, and fix-and-flip opportunities within existing broker and correspondent relationships to expand business volume and strengthen client retention. Coordinate closely with internal sales teams and external lending partners across sales, credit, and operations to facilitate loan progression from submission through underwriting and funding. Proactively identify potential obstacles, resolve transaction issues, and improve loan pull-through rates, processing efficiency, and turnaround times. Develop new business relationships nationally with mortgage brokers, correspondent lenders, builders, and real estate investors to expand the residential transition lending network. Train and support account executives on construction and fix-and-flip products, underwriting guidelines, eligibility criteria, and effective sales positioning. Increase awareness and adoption of the construction lending platform across the sales organization by sharing product knowledge, market insights, and successful deal strategies. Monitor pipeline activity, conversion rates, funded loan production, and performance against annual growth targets. Prepare performance reports, communicate results to relevant stakeholders, and recommend program enhancements based on production trends, partner feedback, and operational performance. Maintain strong relationships with lending partners and clients by ensuring timely communication, effective coordination, and a high standard of service throughout the lending process. Requirements: At least 5 years of experience in residential transition lending (RTL), including ground-up construction, fix-and-flip, bridge, or renovation lending. Working knowledge of residential transition lending underwriting principles, including loan-to-cost (LTC), loan-to-value (LTV), after-repair value (ARV), borrower experience tiers, and construction draw procedures. Demonstrated experience originating, supporting, or growing loan production through mortgage brokers, correspondent lenders, real estate investors, or similar business relationships. Strong understanding of the residential investment property lending landscape and the transaction requirements associated with construction and fix-and-flip financing. Proven ability to evaluate lending scenarios, identify potential eligibility concerns, recommend appropriate deal structures, and communicate financing requirements clearly. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, credit, operations, and external lending partners. Strong business development and sales support capabilities, including identifying growth opportunities, strengthening existing relationships, and developing new referral channels. Analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple transactions, monitor pipeline performance, identify process improvements, and drive deals toward successful funding. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for partner meetings, business development, client engagement, and industry relationship building. Existing relationships with builders, real estate investors, mortgage brokers, or correspondent lenders are preferred. Experience with non-qualified mortgage (non-QM), debt service coverage ratio (DSCR), or other business-purpose lending products is an advantage. A proactive, commercially minded approach, with strong problem-solving skills, accountability, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Benefits: Comprehensive health insurance beginning on the first day of employment. Generous employer-matched 401(k) plan to support long-term financial planning and retirement savings. Flexible paid time off designed to support work-life balance and individual needs. Competitive family leave , including maternity and paternity leave. Professional development opportunities , including mentorship and career growth support. Collaborative and innovative work culture that encourages new ideas, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership. Team-building and employee engagement initiatives , including cultural events, celebrations, and community-focused activities. Charitable giving opportunities through employee-led philanthropic initiatives. Exclusive employee discounts on travel, technology, pet-related services, legal services, and other offerings. Fully remote work arrangement , providing flexibility to work from an eligible location in the United States. National business exposure , with opportunities to develop industry relationships and contribute directly to lending growth and strategic initiatives.
