Full job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Business Process Excellence based in the United States. This role is a strategic and hands-on opportunity to transform how work moves across a growing, technology-enabled organization. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will shape enterprise process architecture, standards, and governance while personally leading high-impact improvement initiatives. You will work across Go-To-Market, Operations, Field Services, Product, and Technology to uncover friction, eliminate rework, and improve cost, speed, and service quality. The position combines systems thinking, data-driven analysis, process engineering, and executive-level influence without direct line authority. You will redesign complex value streams, translate optimized workflows into business and technology requirements, and help teams adopt sustainable continuous-improvement practices. Your work will support global operations, platform migrations, regional expansion, and scalable operating models. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced process excellence leader who enjoys both strategic problem-solving and detailed execution in a fast-changing environment.

Own enterprise process architecture and standards, leading the design and optimization of prioritized end-to-end workflows across business functions and core systems. Conduct detailed current-state process discovery to identify handoff friction, cycle-time delays, rework, bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and root causes of operational inefficiency. Design target operating models, streamlined workflows, and business requirements that reduce complexity and enable automation. Partner with Product leadership to ensure process designs support commercial objectives, profitability, and client service commitments. Re-architect high-friction operational value streams across diagnostics, technician dispatch, scheduling, field services, and back-office operations. Trace operational processes upstream into lead-to-quote, contracting, pricing, sales, and onboarding workflows to resolve issues at their source. Lead process integration initiatives supporting global platform migrations, technology implementations, system integrations, and regional expansion. Coordinate with process specialists and functional subject-matter experts to establish consistent enterprise process standards without disrupting day-to-day operations. Develop standardized process mapping methods, workflow notation, documentation templates, and operating procedures. Coach cross-functional teams in structured process engineering, Lean methodologies, and continuous improvement practices. Provide objective process architecture, data analysis, and design recommendations while enabling functional leaders to retain ownership of operational decisions. Challenge localized optimization when it creates broader enterprise inefficiencies, using value-stream data and bottleneck metrics to guide decisions. Facilitate executive alignment when cross-functional priorities conflict, presenting objective analysis, trade-offs, and recommendations. Define business architecture and technical requirements for enterprise systems, ensuring technology enables optimized processes rather than simply digitizing inefficient workflows. Partner with Technology and IT teams to translate target-state process designs into actionable platform configuration and implementation requirements. Requirements 8–10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise process engineering, value-stream mapping, operational excellence, management consulting, or a comparable discipline. Demonstrated success re-architecting complex, cross-functional operations and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, cycle time, quality, or customer experience. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt, or equivalent formal continuous-improvement qualification is required. Deep experience integrating business processes and operational workflows with major enterprise platforms, particularly CRM and Field Service Management systems. Strong systems-thinking capability, with the ability to understand interconnected workflows and identify root-cause friction across organizational boundaries. Proven ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands-on practitioner, combining executive presence with a willingness to perform detailed process analysis and design work. Strong influencing and facilitation skills, with experience aligning matrixed teams and constructively challenging senior executives and functional leaders without direct authority. Data-driven decision-making skills, including the ability to analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, quantify trade-offs, and develop evidence-based recommendations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex process and technology concepts into clear recommendations for both executives and operational teams. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Systems Engineering, or another technical or quantitative discipline. Advanced degree or MBA is preferred. Experience in clean energy, renewable technology, technical field services, logistics, or other complex operational environments is strongly preferred. Experience supporting global operations, regional expansion, or enterprise platform migrations is an advantage. Ability to work independently in a high-growth environment characterized by evolving processes, new products, and complex organizational challenges. Strong resilience, adaptability, curiosity, and commitment to continuous improvement. Benefits Competitive base salary of $155,000–$205,000 annually , with a midpoint of $180,000. Annual merit increases designed to support continued compensation growth as skills and impact develop. Performance-based bonus opportunities. Long-term stock options providing an opportunity to participate in organizational growth. Health insurance with 100% of employee monthly premiums covered and 50% of dependent premiums covered . Dental and vision insurance. Disability coverage and additional employee benefits. 401(k) plan with an annual company match of up to $1,000. 12 weeks of paid parental leave for eligible full-time employees after one year. Four-week paid sabbatical after four years. Thoughtful paid time off and flexible work arrangements. Up to $500 per year in learning reimbursement for courses, certifications, and conferences. Predominantly remote work opportunities across the United States. Access to local employee gatherings and, for Seattle-area employees, an office environment in Pioneer Square. Mentorship, professional development, and opportunities for internal career growth. Collaborative, mission-driven culture emphasizing trust, inclusion, mutual respect, and continuous learning. Employee affinity groups and community-building initiatives designed to foster belonging. No visa sponsorship is available for this position, now or in the future.
