Operating with general management-level ownership, you will be accountable for business performance, including revenue, profitability, adoption, and customer retention. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, Engineering, Data, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to turn promising ideas into market-ready offerings. Through customer discovery, market research, and pilot programs, you will validate new concepts and build products that address evolving healthcare needs. You will also help shape the future of payer analytics by leveraging data interoperability, emerging AI and machine learning capabilities, and changing regulatory requirements. This is a high-visibility leadership opportunity in a remote-first environment where strategic thinking, commercial ownership, and industry expertise drive growth.
Own product vision and strategy: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for innovation products, working closely with executive leadership to align priorities with business objectives. Drive business and financial outcomes: Take ownership of revenue, profitability, adoption, retention, and other business-line targets. Ensure product investments deliver measurable commercial value beyond roadmap execution. Identify market opportunities: Conduct customer discovery, market research, and competitive analysis to uncover unmet needs and growth opportunities in payer data and analytics. Translate payer challenges into product solutions: Develop differentiated capabilities addressing quality measurement, risk adjustment, healthcare utilization, cost of care, member engagement, network management, and value-based care arrangements. Lead product discovery and validation: Guide concept development, prototyping, and pilot programs with design partners and early customers. Define success metrics, establish business cases, and make informed build, partner, or discontinue recommendations. Collaborate on technical strategy: Partner with Engineering and Data teams to evaluate analytics architecture, data models, technical feasibility, and emerging approaches, including AI and machine learning. Enable commercial success: Equip Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams with effective product positioning, pricing, packaging, sales materials, and training to support successful launches and market adoption. Represent products externally: Serve as a visible product spokesperson and subject-matter expert, presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and customer events while building credibility with customers, partners, and industry analysts. Monitor healthcare market and regulatory developments: Track changes in value-based care, HEDIS, Stars, and relevant healthcare regulations, translating emerging trends into product strategy and new business opportunities. Build strong industry relationships: Engage with health plans, customers, and strategic partners to strengthen market understanding, validate product direction, and support long-term growth. Requirements: At least eight years of experience in product management, including three or more years leading products in payer analytics or health plan data. Deep understanding of healthcare payer data, including claims, clinical, eligibility, and pharmacy data, and how these datasets support payer operations and analytics. Familiarity with payer use cases such as HEDIS and Stars quality programs, risk adjustment, population health, utilization management, and value-based care. Demonstrated success taking new products from initial concept through development, launch, and market adoption. Proven ownership of commercial results, including revenue, profit-and-loss (P&L) performance, or business-line targets for a product or portfolio. Working knowledge of healthcare data standards and interoperability frameworks, including FHIR, HL7, and X12, as well as relevant Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations. Ability to engage confidently with data scientists and engineers on analytics concepts, data architecture, technical feasibility, and emerging technologies. Experience working within health plans or selling products and services to health plans. An established network within the payer industry is a plus. Strong strategic thinking, commercial judgment, and the ability to translate customer needs and market insights into clear product priorities. Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and align business and technical objectives. Strong customer-facing presence and public speaking skills, including confidence presenting at industry events and engaging with customers, partners, and analysts. A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment, manage ambiguity, and take ownership of business outcomes. Candidates are encouraged to apply even if they do not meet every qualification. Diverse perspectives, relevant strengths, and a willingness to contribute and grow are valued. Benefits: Medical and dental insurance: 100% of employee premiums covered for Blue Cross Blue Shield medical and dental insurance. Vision coverage: Vision insurance to support employee eye care needs. Flexible paid time off: Flexible PTO to support work-life balance. Equity participation: Equity offered to all employees, allowing team members to share in the company's growth. Retirement savings: 401(k) plan. Home office support: Home office stipend to help create a productive remote working environment. Lifestyle benefits: Lifestyle spending account to support personal well-being and eligible lifestyle expenses. Parental leave: Six weeks of bonding leave for all new parents, plus an additional ten weeks for birthing parents.
