This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Enterprise Account Manager, SLED based in Canada. This role is focused on growing strategic relationships across State, Local, and Higher Education organizations throughout North America. You will manage an established portfolio of public sector accounts, identifying opportunities to expand software adoption across departments, campuses, and agencies. The position combines account management, consultative selling, executive engagement, and strategic expansion within complex enterprise environments. You will navigate public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder decision-making to move high-value opportunities forward. Working closely with solutions engineering, customer success, and internal teams, you will uncover whitespace and develop solutions aligned with each customer’s long-term objectives. Your ability to understand client needs, market trends, and competitive dynamics will help drive cross-sell, expansion, and recurring revenue growth. This is an autonomous, entrepreneurial opportunity for an experienced software sales professional who thrives on ambitious quotas and building long-term customer partnerships.
Own and manage a high-value pipeline of software license expansion opportunities across an assigned SLED customer portfolio. Grow existing software adoption while identifying cross-sell opportunities across the broader product portfolio. Conduct strategic account reviews and roadmap discussions with key stakeholders to align solutions with long-term organizational priorities. Build and strengthen relationships with executive, technical, procurement, and other senior decision-makers within strategic accounts. Partner with Solutions Engineers to understand customer requirements and develop tailored solutions for complex enterprise environments. Research market trends, competitor positioning, customer needs, and account intelligence to inform sales strategies. Identify high-value opportunities and develop account-specific go-to-market strategies that support sustainable growth. Navigate public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance considerations, and complex stakeholder environments. Maintain accurate sales activity, opportunities, and forecasting information in Salesforce. Consistently meet or exceed sales quotas through strategic planning, relationship management, and disciplined execution. Represent the organization at relevant industry events and key customer meetings, with light travel as required. Requirements: 6+ years of proven success in account management and complex B2B software sales, with a consistent record of exceeding multi-year quotas. At least 3 years focused on managing enterprise accounts and generating new business, expansion, and cross-sell opportunities within existing customers. Demonstrated experience selling software solutions to State, Local, and/or Higher Education customers. Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, budget cycles, compliance requirements, and multi-stakeholder decision-making. Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage effectively through digital channels. Proven consultative selling approach and ability to engage technical CXOs and senior executives. Strong prospecting and sales-tool proficiency, including platforms such as Outreach, Dooly, Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo. Proficiency with Salesforce CRM and disciplined sales-cycle management. Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining strong individual accountability and a results-driven mindset. Strong market and competitive intelligence skills with the ability to translate insights into account strategies. A college or university degree, preferably in a technical discipline. Willingness to travel occasionally for industry events and key client meetings. Benefits: Total compensation of $150,000–$220,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
