The University of Manchester is accepting applications for 30 Equity and Merit Scholarships for eligible international master's students from six African countries for 2027/28 entry.

The programme offers 20 full-time one-year on-campus scholarships and 10 part-time online scholarships lasting three to five years across engineering, computer science, AI, cyber security, development, education, law, health, environment and other eligible fields. All awards cover full tuition fees; on-campus awards also include return international airfare, living expenses and visa costs.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be resident citizens of Ethiopia, Malawi, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda or Zimbabwe, hold an eligible bachelor's degree awarded before September 2025, have at least two years of professional experience related to the proposed field, demonstrate financial need and development impact, commit to returning home, and generally not have previously studied outside Africa except qualifying short training.
