Our partner is looking for a Project Management Specialist I – Global Conservation Strategy Analyst based in Brazil. Join a mission-driven organization committed to protecting biodiversity, ecosystems, and the natural resources on which all life depends. In this role, you will support the implementation of conservation projects and programs across the Brazilian Amazon, contributing to ambitious 2030 conservation goals. You will coordinate a diverse portfolio of initiatives focused on public lands, freshwater ecosystems, territorial protection, restoration, and sustainable resource management. Working across multiple teams, territories, and external partnerships, you will ensure that projects remain aligned with strategic priorities, budgets, timelines, and expected outcomes. You will use project management methodologies, monitoring tools, and data-driven reporting to track progress, identify risks, and support informed decision-making. This opportunity is ideal for an organized and collaborative professional who enjoys solving operational challenges, strengthening project management practices, and connecting strategic objectives with measurable conservation results. With a flexible remote working environment and opportunities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to meaningful environmental impact while supporting continuous organizational learning and improvement.

Portfolio Coordination: Monitor initiatives across different territories and conservation landscapes, including protected areas, public forests, freshwater systems, and other priority ecosystems throughout the Brazilian Amazon. Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain project action plans, work plans, schedules, milestones, responsibilities, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure efficient implementation and timely completion. Monitoring and Performance Measurement: Support the definition and tracking of indicators, targets, data sources, responsible parties, and verification methods to measure progress and evaluate project effectiveness. Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in Smartsheet, integrating schedules, activities, budgets, risks, dependencies, and performance indicators into a coherent portfolio management system. Financial and Budget Monitoring: Track program budgets and expenditure, promote efficient resource allocation, and ensure financial execution aligns with approved work plans, compliance requirements, and funder expectations. Reporting and Data Analysis: Develop dashboards, periodic reports, executive summaries, and strategic analyses that communicate project progress, highlight delays and data gaps, identify critical risks, and support leadership decisions. Quality Assurance and Accountability: Organize and validate project evidence, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, traceability, and readiness for data quality reviews, peer reviews, audits, and funder reporting. Risk Management and Problem-Solving: Identify operational challenges, project interdependencies, implementation risks, and emerging issues, recommending practical technical solutions and adjustments within established decision-making guidelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate coordination among internal teams, programs, external partners, and relevant stakeholders to promote alignment, information sharing, and effective project delivery. Technical Guidance and Capacity Building: Provide technical support to colleagues involved in project implementation, encourage the exchange of knowledge, and promote project management best practices without formal line-management responsibilities.
