Develop and pressure-test competitive narratives for portfolio assets, building evidence to inform leadership decisions, partnership discussions, and investor communications. Partner with leaders across clinical development, discovery, platform, ClinTech, business development, and finance to align resources with strategic priorities. Evaluate portfolio trade-offs and contribute to decisions involving resource allocation, asset valuation, and development priorities. Identify opportunities to improve how clinical assets are differentiated, advanced, and positioned for patients with significant unmet needs. Promote cross-functional alignment and efficient collaboration across scientific, technical, and business teams. Serve as a senior strategic partner to functional leaders, helping translate scientific complexity into actionable decisions. Communicate strategic recommendations with executive-level clarity and confidence to internal leadership and external partners. Continuously evaluate emerging data, competitive dynamics, technologies, and development trends to strengthen asset strategies and portfolio outcomes. Requirements: The ideal candidate combines deep expertise in drug discovery and development with extensive experience leading clinical assets strategically, particularly within small-molecule therapeutics and complex therapeutic areas. PhD in life sciences or a related scientific discipline, with deep expertise in drug discovery and development. 10+ years of experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical organizations. Proven track record of asset-level strategic leadership and advancing programs through clinical stage gates with demonstrable impact on portfolio value. Deep expertise in the development of small-molecule therapeutics for oncology and immunology/inflammation. Experience in rare disease is a plus. Strong understanding of competitive positioning, mechanistic differentiation, biomarker strategies, patient segmentation, regulatory considerations, and market dynamics. Proven ability to build and articulate compelling strategic and competitive cases for clinical-stage assets. Strong financial acumen, with the ability to engage credibly in discussions around resource allocation, asset valuation, and portfolio trade-offs. Exceptional executive presence and the ability to synthesize complex scientific and business information into clear, conviction-led recommendations. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and external partners. Opportunity to work at the intersection of AI, computational biology, drug discovery, and clinical development.
