Full job description

At Relativity Space, we’re building rockets to serve today’s needs and tomorrow’s breakthroughs. Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity. But that’s just the start. Achieving commercial success with Terran R will unlock new opportunities to advance science, exploration, and innovation, pioneering progress that reaches beyond the known. Joining Relativity means becoming part of something where autonomy, ownership, and impact exist at every level. Here, you're not just executing tasks; you're solving problems that haven’t been solved before, helping develop a rocket, a factory, and a business from the ground up. Whether you’re in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you’ll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time. Relativity is a place where creativity and technical rigor go hand in hand, and your voice will help define the stories we’re writing together. Now is a unique moment in time where it’s early enough to leave your mark on the product, the process, and the culture, but far enough along that Terran R is tangible and picking up momentum. The most meaningful work of your career is waiting. Join us. About the Team: The Facilities team ensures that every operation across the site is “go” at all times, supporting everything from power and utilities to highly specialized machines like industrial 3D printers. Our 1 million square foot headquarters is complex: one structure, but functionally 20 mini factories under one roof. That complexity brings unmatched opportunities to grow your skills through cross-training and ownership of specialized systems. With rapid expansion and development of the facility, we’re helping build a truly state-of-the-art work environment. This team is deeply embedded in both planning and execution, brought in early to shape the physical assets that will support scaled operations. About the Role: Complete general building repairs, including basic carpentry, drywall, painting, patching, and repairs to doors, fixtures, flooring, and other building finishes. Respond to facility work requests through JIRA, provide status updates, and document completed work. Assist Facilities technicians with preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and basic troubleshooting; report unsafe conditions, leaks, damage, and equipment issues. Move and organize pallets, equipment, and materials using hand tools, forklifts, lifts, and other equipment when trained and authorized; maintain clean, safe, and accessible workspaces. Collaborate with technicians, engineers, contractors, and vendors to support facility projects, installations, equipment moves, construction activities, and emergency response needs. Follow company safety, environmental, and security requirements while performing work that involves lifting and handling up to 50 pounds, working at heights and on ladders, squatting, stooping, or kneeling with a tool belt, and working outdoors in heat, cold, wind, or rain. About You: High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience performing building maintenance, construction repairs, or related work, with attention to the quality of completed repairs and finishes. Ability to provide before-and-after photos demonstrating relevant prior repair or finishing work. Experience using forklifts, reach lifts, personnel lifts, or similar equipment, and willingness and ability to obtain in-house forklift certification. Valid California driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation to complete assigned shifts. Willingness to learn multiple facility trades and systems and work non-standard shifts, overtime, and weekends as required. At Relativity Space, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation practices. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Compensation is only one part of our total rewards package. Relativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous PTO and sick leave policy, parental leave, an annual learning and development stipend, and more! To see some of the benefits & perks we offer, please visit here.
