The Federal Account Executive will drive sales growth across targeted U.S. civilian federal agencies, building relationships with key decision-makers and developing new business opportunities. This role combines strategic account development, consultative selling, and cybersecurity technology expertise in a federal environment. You will manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and executive presentations to demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and account expansion. Prospect for and identify key decision-makers and business opportunities across targeted civilian federal agencies, including departments and organizations such as DHS, State, Justice, HHS, and the U.S. Courts. Present and sell cybersecurity products and services to existing and prospective customers, adapting the sales approach to customer priorities and requirements. Manage sales activities across the full business development cycle, including prospecting, cold calling, appointment setting, product demonstrations, proposals, and follow-up. Build relationships with C-level executives, federal stakeholders, resellers, and other relevant decision-makers through compelling presentations and consultative engagement. Develop and execute strategic sales approaches in partnership with Sales Managers, Sales Engineers, and Channel Managers. Maintain and expand a network of contacts within targeted accounts while following up on leads and referrals generated through field activities. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by responding to requests, resolving issues, and supporting customer satisfaction throughout the sales process. Work closely with reseller and channel partners to support opportunities and maintain effective communication throughout the sales cycle. Maintain accurate account information, pipeline activity, and customer records within the CRM system. Participate in relevant marketing activities, seminars, trade shows, and other industry events as required. Manage territory activity with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding annual sales targets. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 5+ years of business-to-business sales experience/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience selling security software or technology solutions through channel partners to U.S. Federal Civilian Agencies is preferred. Experience in the technology or cybersecurity industry is preferred. Established relationships and a strong network of contacts within the assigned federal territory. Strong sales, prospecting, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to executives and groups. Ability to understand and communicate technical aspects of cybersecurity products and solutions. Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Outlook is preferred. Strong customer-service orientation, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail. Demonstrated achievement focus, persistence, urgency, adaptability, and ability to overcome sales obstacles. Strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize competing demands and develop realistic action plans. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and adapt sales strategies to changing customer and market requirements. Security clearance is preferred. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as business needs require. Candidates should be based in the Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia metropolitan area. Benefits: Opportunity to drive cybersecurity sales within the U.S. Federal Civilian market. Exposure to senior federal decision-makers, channel partners, and complex enterprise security environments. Collaboration with Sales Engineering, Sales Management, and Channel Management teams. Opportunity to build and expand strategic federal customer relationships. Remote work arrangement.
