ABOUT THE ROLE An early engineering hire at an early-stage enterprise AI software company, you will own core systems across its agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime. You will work closely with company leadership to shape technical direction and establish engineering practices as the team grows. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and own production systems across the agent platform, infrastructure, and integrations runtime.
- Set engineering patterns and standards that support future team growth.
- Provide technical leadership and thoughtful input on architecture and product decisions.
- Ship frequently while maintaining reliable, observable systems. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Three to nine years of professional software engineering experience, including building and shipping production systems in fast-paced environments.
- Experience building a product or system from zero to one, through startup work or a substantial independent project.
- Proficiency with TypeScript, React, and Node.js for full-stack development.
- Experience integrating or building workflows with large language models and agent-based platforms.
- Working knowledge of AWS and PostgreSQL, including cloud infrastructure and database design.
- Experience owning features across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, with measurable customer impact.
- Experience with production observability, monitoring, tracing, and reliable retries and queues in distributed systems.
- An undergraduate degree in computer science or engineering, and a broad software engineering background.
- Experience in an early-stage startup or comparable environment, with a record of setting engineering practices as teams grow. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Base salary is $150,000 to $250,000 per year. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California.
