ABOUT THE ROLE Join a small, early-stage team building an AI-driven pricing and monetization platform for B2B businesses. You will own product areas from customer discovery through architecture, implementation, and launch, helping ensure complex pricing workflows are accurate, reliable, and usable through both traditional interfaces and AI agents. WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Scope customer problems and build complete product modules, including versioned APIs, data models, user interfaces, and production releases.
- Design and evolve backend architecture for agent-driven experiences across web interfaces, conversational tools, and integrations.
- Make product capabilities accessible to LLM agents through MCP-style servers and conversational interfaces.
- Move pricing and business logic into backend services to protect financial accuracy.
- Extend typed models for pricing concepts and establish strong testing, observability, deployment, and performance practices.
- Lead technical reviews, investigate production issues, mentor teammates, and contribute to engineering practices and product direction. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including startup experience owning and delivering complete product areas.
- Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, and MongoDB or comparable technologies, plus production API and data-model design.
- Hands-on React and TypeScript experience, including independently delivering polished user interfaces.
- Experience integrating AI-assisted features or building agent-driven workflows, such as LLM interfaces or MCP-style endpoints.
- Knowledge of B2B SaaS monetization, including pricing models, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
- Strong customer problem-solving skills and a high standard for correctness in financial logic. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Annual salary range: $200,000 to $250,000. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, California.
