Complete internship details

At Neighbor, we’re building the largest hyperlocal marketplace the world has ever seen. We’ve raised over $75 million from top-tier investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and the CEOs of DoorDash, StockX, and Uber. Our marketplace is already flourishing in all 50 states and we’re just getting started! About the Role As our FP&A Intern, you’ll work on the numbers leadership uses to run the company. You’ll help build the annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range models, and you’ll present your work to our senior leadership team. You’ll report to the FP&A Manager and work on the real plan, the real forecasts, and the materials that go in front of our board. Neighbor is a two-sided marketplace, which makes the finance work here unusually interesting. You’ll dig into how supply and demand grow market by market, what drives our take rate, and what it costs to acquire a host or a renter. By the end of the summer, you’ll own expense forecasting for the entire business. This internship is a direct path to a full-time role. Strong performers leave with a full-time offer to join the team after graduation.

Build and maintain the models behind our forecasts and long-range plans Track results against plan each month and explain what’s driving the differences Model marketplace economics, including [supply and demand growth by market, take rate, CAC payback, etc.] Develop key budget assumptions with business partners during the annual and quarterly planning cycles Pull data from our BI and accounting tools to answer questions leadership is asking Turn complex analysis into clear conclusions and present them to the team and management Help prepare financial materials for quarterly board meetings Research industry trends and recommend opportunities
