Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an FP&A Lead based in France. As FP&A Lead, you will establish and own the central financial planning and analysis function for a rapidly scaling AI technology business. You will build the consolidated company model, lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, and develop the monthly reporting processes that guide executive and board-level decisions. Working closely with commercial, product, and compute finance teams, you will translate complex financial and operational data into actionable insights. You will bring financial discipline to major investment decisions, including hiring, infrastructure, and strategic spending. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape financial planning processes as the organization prepares for an IPO. You will join an ambitious, AI-first, international environment where ownership, analytical excellence, and measurable impact are highly valued.
You will take end-to-end ownership of central FP&A, building the financial models, planning processes, and reporting frameworks required to support strategic decisions and sustainable growth. Financial modeling and planning Build and maintain the driver-based consolidated company model and operating expense model in Pigment. Integrate inputs from commercial, product, and compute finance teams into a single source of truth for financial planning. Develop a comprehensive company model that connects financial performance with operational drivers and long-term strategic objectives. Use the model to evaluate major investments and provide recommendations on resource allocation. Budgeting and forecasting Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts from start to finish. Manage headcount planning envelopes and general and administrative (G&A) forecasting in collaboration with budget owners. Ensure assumptions are consistent, transparent, and aligned with business priorities. Refine planning methodologies as the business scales and financial requirements evolve. Reporting and executive decision support Establish a monthly reporting cadence covering financial results, budget-versus-actual analysis, and functional performance reviews. Organize quarterly business reviews and prepare the financial sections of board reporting materials. Translate financial and operational results into clear narratives, highlighting trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Support the CFO, CEO, and board with reliable financial analysis and forward-looking insights. Capital allocation and strategic finance Introduce disciplined financial evaluation for major decisions involving hiring, compute infrastructure, and strategic expenditure. Assess unit economics, gross profit, and investment returns to support commercial and operational priorities. Ensure financial recommendations lead to practical decisions and measurable business outcomes. Help strengthen the central FP&A function and prepare planning and guidance processes for the company's future as a public company. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional who has built planning models and financial processes from the ground up in a high-growth technology environment. You should combine strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities with commercial judgment, executive communication skills, and the ability to turn insights into implemented decisions. Demonstrated experience building a driver-based company financial model or long-range plan from scratch and using it to guide business decisions. Experience leading annual budgets and reforecasting cycles end to end within a high-growth technology company. Proven ability to communicate financial performance and forecasts through clear, concise narratives for executive leadership or board-level audiences. Strong commercial judgment, including a solid understanding of unit economics, gross profit, and investment trade-offs. Track record of developing recommendations that influence decisions and result in tangible business outcomes. Hands-on experience with financial planning tools such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Planning, or similar platforms. Comfort working with SQL and extracting or analyzing data from a data warehouse. Regular use of AI tools to improve analytical efficiency, workflow quality, and decision-making. Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and build financial processes in a rapidly evolving environment. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to bring together stakeholders across commercial, product, and finance teams. Nice to have: Experience with usage-based or consumption-based revenue models. Exposure to IPO readiness or financial planning and analysis in a public company. Practical experience implementing or managing Pigment. Experience building and developing an FP&A team. Benefits: Innovative environment: Contribute to the development of advanced AI technology in a high-impact, fast-moving organization. Career growth: Opportunities to expand your responsibilities and potentially lead a central FP&A team as the business approaches an IPO. Strategic ownership: Opportunity to shape company-wide planning, financial guidance, and broader strategic finance activities. Learning and development: Annual discretionary stipend to support professional development. Team connection: Annual discretionary stipend to meet and connect with colleagues. Company offsite: Participate in an annual company-wide gathering at a different location. Co-working support: Monthly co-working stipend for employees who are not based near a main office. Remote-first flexibility: Work remotely from anywhere in Europe, with a preference for time zones between GMT+0 and GMT+2. Office options: The option to work from offices in Warsaw or London. Collaborative culture: Work alongside talented researchers, engineers, and operators in an AI-first organization that values autonomy, excellence, and meaningful impact.
