Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an FP&A Manager based in Canada. Join a fast-growing technology business operating at the intersection of fraud prevention, device intelligence, and enterprise software. As an FP&A Manager, you will play a key role in shaping financial strategy, strengthening business performance, and supporting sustainable growth. You will own the consolidated financial model, lead budgeting and forecasting processes, and deliver insights that help leadership make informed decisions. Working closely with Go-to-Market, Research and Development, and General and Administrative teams, you will turn complex financial and operational data into actionable recommendations. This remote opportunity is ideal for a finance professional who combines strong analytical skills with commercial awareness, process improvement expertise, and a passion for building scalable financial systems.
As FP&A Manager, you will oversee core financial planning activities, develop strategic reporting, and partner with business leaders to improve financial visibility and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities will include: Own and continuously improve the consolidated corporate financial model using an FP&A platform, covering the three financial statements, cash flow, headcount planning, non-personnel spending, and SaaS performance metrics. Lead the annual budgeting cycle and prepare and distribute monthly budget review presentations. Serve as a strategic finance partner to Go-to-Market, Research and Development, and General and Administrative leaders, providing analysis, reporting, and actionable recommendations. Develop and maintain board reporting packages that communicate financial performance, business trends, and strategic priorities. Manage the SaaS metrics framework end to end, including annual recurring revenue (ARR) bridges, gross and net revenue retention, cohort and expansion analysis, customer acquisition cost (CAC) payback, the SaaS magic number, pipeline-to-revenue conversion, and sales capacity modeling. Oversee procurement in partnership with an external procurement platform, managing vendor usage, spending, and complex supplier contracts. Manage the revenue commissions process, from compensation plan implementation through commission calculations and payments. Deliver strategic financial analysis on key business questions, including pricing scenarios, segment profitability, and operational performance. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiency through automation, technology, and AI-enabled tools. Support fundraising, audit, diligence, and other strategic financial initiatives as needed. Requirements: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented finance professional with strong modeling capabilities, experience in high-growth businesses, and the ability to influence decisions through clear financial analysis. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment and translating complex data into practical business recommendations. Key qualifications include: 6–10 years of progressive finance experience, with substantial expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and planning. Experience at a startup or high-growth company, preferably within an organization of approximately 100–1,000 employees. Strong understanding of SaaS metrics and recurring-revenue mechanics, including ARR bridges, retention, customer cohorts, and the relationship between bookings, recognized revenue, and cash flow. A track record of partnering with business stakeholders to solve problems and support strategic decisions. Excellent attention to detail, strong accountability for work quality, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently. A passion for improving efficiency through better processes, systems, automation, and AI. Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with well-structured, transparent, and auditable models. Familiarity with SQL, a business intelligence tool such as Sigma, Looker, or Tableau, or AI tools such as Claude. Experience working with macOS and remote collaboration tools such as Slack and Google Workspace, as well as business systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, and FP&A software. Strong written communication skills and the ability to explain financial findings clearly. Practical experience using AI tools such as Claude to improve productivity and analytical workflows. A desire to develop professionally and progress toward senior finance leadership. A strong preference for early-career experience in investment banking, management consulting, transaction advisory, private equity, or corporate development, where analytical rigor, speed, precision, and the ability to defend recommendations are essential. Experience supporting a company-side fundraising, audit, or due diligence process is highly desirable. Additional experience implementing business systems, such as an ERP migration, financial planning tool rollout, or data pipeline for reporting, is an advantage. Benefits: Salary range: $118,000–$160,000 annually for eligible US-based candidates, depending on location, experience, and expertise. Location-based compensation: The advertised range includes examples of $139,000–$160,000 for New York City and $118,000–$136,000 for Chicago. Fully remote working environment with a globally distributed team. Opportunity to contribute to financial strategy and operational decision-making in a rapidly growing technology business. Exposure to strategic planning, SaaS performance metrics, procurement, revenue operations, and executive-level reporting. Opportunities to improve financial systems and workflows through automation, data analytics, and AI. An inclusive working environment that values diverse perspectives, professional growth, and collaboration.
