The Fred Doolin Education Scholarship supports a student enrolled or enrolling full-time in an eligible undergraduate degree or teaching diploma in the University of Auckland Faculty of Arts and Education. One scholarship worth up to NZ$10,000 is available for one year. The scholarship is intended to support students with potential to succeed who are experiencing hardship or disadvantage due to personal financial circumstances. The 2026 round opens 30 September and closes 11 November.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, be enrolled or enrolling full-time in an eligible Bachelor of Early Childhood Studies, Bachelor of Education (Teaching), Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education), Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary), or Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary), and have a GPA or GPE of at least 5.00. Selection considers academic merit and financial need.
