Overview
Fulbright Foundation Greece will award up to five grants to outstanding Greek final-year students and recent graduates for master’s-level study, including eligible MA/PhD-track programs, at accredited U.S. institutions in 2027–2028.
Complete scholarship details
The award supports the first academic year of eligible full-time, on-campus graduate study in the United States. All disciplines are eligible except Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science and PhD-only degrees. A mandatory registration step closes 15 October 2026 at 23:59 EET; the final application closes 15 November 2026 at 23:59 EET. The award is partial rather than full cost, and recipients remain responsible for securing any additional funding required.
Eligibility requirements
Applicants must be Greek citizens or hold a Greek passport; U.S./Greek dual citizens are ineligible. They must be final-year B.A. students at or graduates of recognized Greek institutions, with a minimum B.A. GPA of 8.0/10 or 3.4/4.0, permanently reside in Greece, have excellent English, and pursue full-time on-campus U.S. study. Applicants in the United States at application time are ineligible. Fulbright gives preference to applicants below age 28 and those without substantial recent U.S. experience.
