Versana is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to contribute to our Application Development team's technical implementation of Versana's real-time syndicated loan platform, including its blockchain and digital-asset infrastructure. The platform delivers a streamlined interface that provides clients with secure, real-time access to loan data, analytics, and positions. As a Software Engineer, you'll work closely with engineers, product and project managers, and UX designers to own and deliver features end to end. You must have a strong technical foundation in full-stack engineering, including hands-on experience integrating blockchain and Web3 technologies into enterprise systems, along with a passion for scalable and secure design. You will play a hands-on role in one of Versana's product verticals, owning the design and delivery of performant, secure, and intuitive applications, including blockchain-integrated capabilities, that set a new standard for the syndicated loan market. Key Responsibilities Technical Delivery Own the technical delivery of features and projects from design through deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and scalability Contribute to architectural discussions and code reviews Adhere to coding standards, architectural principles, and security best practices Collaborate with Product and UX teams to translate client needs into high-impact solutions Build test automation across the full stack of our software and follow engineering best practices Optimize application performance and reliability in a cloud environment Implement blockchain integrations, node connectivity, transaction submission, event monitoring, wallet/custody interactions, and signing/approval workflows, using enterprise-grade backend and Web3 libraries Write, test, and deploy smart contracts (Solidity or equivalent) following established security practices, handle full transaction lifecycle, submission, confirmation, idempotency, and failure/reversal handling, with audit-friendly logging Collaboration & Communication Partner with Product Managers and Technical Project Managers to understand scope, timelines, and priorities. Communicate project status, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders clearly and proactively.
Must Have BS or BA in Computer Science or related field 5+ years of full-stack development experience, with strong backend expertise in one or more languages (e.g., Java/Spring Boot, Node.js, Python, Go) Hands-on experience building on blockchain/DLT platforms (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Hyperledger Besu, or Canton/Daml), including transaction lifecycle (gas, nonce, confirmations, finality) and event processing Experience with frontend frameworks (React/Angular) using TypeScript/JavaScript Strong understanding of application architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization Proficiency with REST APIs, and database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) Hands-on experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Curiosity and willingness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment
Nice to Have Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud computing platforms Understanding of wallet/custody infrastructure, key-management patterns, and building audit-friendly, idempotent transaction flows in regulated or security-sensitive environment Experience with end-to-end testing frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.) Exposure to advanced UI frameworks, charting libraries, or design systems (AG Grid, D3, etc.) Familiarity with accessibility and responsive design principles Experience in financial services, particularly syndicated loans or leveraged finance Familiarity with compliance/security frameworks (SOC2, NIST, ISO 27001) or experience coordinating third-party security audits / custody-provider integrations (e.g., Fireblocks, Turnkey) Experience with event-streaming platforms (Kafka or equivalent) for transaction/ledger event publishing
