Qassim University postgraduate scholarships offer master’s and doctoral programs designed to align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and national research priorities. International applicants can apply through external scholarship routes (via the Study in Saudi Arabia platform) or internal scholarship routes for eligible legal residents within the Kingdom.

Which Fields are Eligible?:

29 postgraduate programs across multiple colleges, including:

College of Engineering: Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

Other Disciplines: Programs across the College of Business and Economics, College of Education, College of Shari’ah, College of Languages and Humanities, College of Science, and College of Arts and Design (comprising 24 Master’s programs and 5 Ph.D. programs).

Who can Apply?:

For External Scholarships: International applicants residing outside Saudi Arabia, GCC nationals, or individuals sponsored by another Saudi university. Applications must be submitted through the Study in Saudi Arabia platform.

For Internal Scholarships: Non-Saudi residents currently living legally in Saudi Arabia with valid residency (at least one year remaining), without university sponsorship, and under 30 years old for Master’s programs or 35 years old for Ph.D. programs.

Academic Requirements: Hold a recognized bachelor’s degree (for Master’s) or master’s degree (for Ph.D.) with competitive GPA requirements (e.g., minimum GPAs often start at 4.25/5.0 for applied specializations and 4.50/5.0 for theoretical specializations depending on the track).

Testing Requirements: Must provide results from the General Abilities Test for Undergraduates (Qiyas) and achieve required scores on the STEP English language test where mandated by the specific program.

Applications are evaluated based on previous academic degrees, GPA thresholds, competitive entrance exams (where applicable), English proficiency test results (STEP), and final review and approval by the Saudi Ministry of Education for scholarship candidates.
