Full job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Gerente de Projetos de Controladoria based in Brazil. Join a corporate controllership team in a dynamic, high-impact environment where finance and technology initiatives play a key role in sustainable business growth. As a Project Manager, you will coordinate complex projects at the intersection of finance, accounting, and technology, ensuring reliable timelines, budget control, and effective stakeholder communication. You will help drive strategic initiatives involving tools such as SAP S/4HANA while identifying risks and dependencies before they become obstacles. The role also offers opportunities to improve financial processes, uncover automation opportunities, and leverage artificial intelligence to enhance productivity and decision-making. Working remotely with collaborative teams and international stakeholders, you will contribute to operational excellence while developing your expertise in a fast-paced environment.
Manage project schedules, milestones, and agendas, proactively identifying deviations and coordinating dependencies to keep initiatives on track. Monitor project budgets, track costs, and oversee hours allocated to external partners with accuracy and rigor. Prepare concise, visually clear status reports that highlight progress, risks, and critical issues, keeping leadership and partner teams informed. Map and diagnose accounting and financial processes, developing improvement plans and identifying opportunities for automation and better documentation. Apply artificial intelligence tools to accelerate analysis, improve productivity, and generate actionable insights for the team. Coordinate technology and finance initiatives, including projects involving SAP S/4HANA, ensuring alignment between technical requirements and business priorities. Work with accounting close processes and financial regulatory concepts to ensure project plans reflect relevant operational and technical requirements. Collaborate with international teams, auditors, and internal stakeholders to facilitate technical alignment and support strategic deliverables. Demonstrate adaptability, autonomy, and a results-oriented mindset while balancing priorities in a dynamic remote work environment. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Previous experience in financial institutions, audit firms, or consulting companies. Practical experience with formal project management methodologies and frameworks; certifications such as PMP, PMBOK, or PRINCE2 are relevant. Knowledge of financial institution regulations, including Brazilian Central Bank (BACEN) requirements and COSIF guidelines. Solid working knowledge of corporate accounting and IFRS standards, with the ability to engage in technical discussions without necessarily being a subject-matter expert. Practical familiarity with artificial intelligence tools used to optimize workflows, improve productivity, and support analysis. Advanced or fluent English proficiency across reading, writing, and speaking, to coordinate technical discussions with international teams, auditors, and stakeholders in the United Kingdom, as well as support PCAOB-related routines. Strong command of spreadsheets and data visualization tools, including Excel, Google Sheets, and business intelligence platforms. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose problems, anticipate risks, and develop structured solutions. Strong prioritization and analytical skills, with the ability to focus on activities that deliver the greatest business impact. Ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication and collaboration in a remote environment. Benefits: Fully remote work arrangement within Brazil, with team gatherings in São Paulo every three months. Home office setup credit to support the purchase of equipment. Access to coworking partnerships. iFood Benefits card, with flexible options for meal, food, and mobility allowances. Gympass access to a network of gyms and online fitness classes. Parental support, including childcare or babysitting assistance and extended parental leave. Medical and dental coverage. Discounted Open English lesson packages for employees and their dependents. Discounts on MBA programs and specialization courses at USP ESALQ. Opportunities to work on high-impact finance and technology initiatives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
