Our partner is looking for a Global Chief Commercial Officer – Fruit Ingredients & Citrus Ingredients B2B based in Canada. Lead global commercial growth for an ambitious food ingredients business investing in advanced manufacturing capabilities and sustainable production. As Chief Commercial Officer, you will define and execute the commercial strategy for a diverse portfolio of fruit and citrus ingredients serving industrial B2B customers worldwide. You will oversee Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and Business Development, strengthening market penetration across Europe, North America, and the GCC region. Leveraging your established industry relationships, you will develop strategic partnerships with traders, blending houses, beverage manufacturers, and food processors. You will also drive pricing strategy, profitability, customer retention, and product portfolio development. This executive opportunity is suited to a proven commercial leader with deep fruit ingredients expertise, substantial citrus experience, and a strong international network.
You will lead the global commercial organization, translating market opportunities into profitable growth while strengthening the company's position in the international fruit and citrus ingredients industry. Your responsibilities will include: Develop and execute a global commercial strategy for fruit ingredients and citrus ingredients across key international markets. Drive revenue growth, market penetration, customer acquisition, and long-term customer retention. Manage strategic customer accounts, commercial partnerships, and distribution channels. Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial ingredient buyers, traders, blending houses, flavor houses, beverage manufacturers, and food processors. Identify market opportunities and develop tailored commercial approaches for citrus concentrates, NFC juices, essential oils, aromas, tomato concentrates, fruit purées, IQF products, and freeze-dried ingredients. Shape market-specific product portfolios, category strategies, and innovation roadmaps in line with customer needs and regional demand. Establish pricing strategies, optimize margins, manage forecasts, and maintain accountability for overall P&L performance. Strengthen digital marketing, trade marketing, branding, and lead-generation initiatives to support commercial expansion. Integrate AI-powered tools and data-driven processes to improve commercial efficiency, market intelligence, and decision-making. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, customer requirements, and international growth opportunities. Develop a high-performing commercial organization through leadership, mentoring, talent development, and effective change management. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics stakeholders to align commercial commitments with operational capabilities. Requirements: You are an internationally experienced commercial executive with an established track record in B2B fruit ingredients and a strong understanding of industrial food and beverage supply chains. You combine strategic leadership with hands-on commercial expertise, financial discipline, and the ability to build lasting relationships across global markets. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Extensive industry experience: At least 20 years of experience in the fruit ingredients sector, specifically within B2B markets rather than general FMCG or fresh fruit and vegetable sales. Senior leadership experience: At least 20 years in commercial leadership, including a minimum of seven years in senior executive roles. B2B food ingredients expertise: A strong background serving industrial customers, ingredient buyers, traders, blending houses, beverage manufacturers, and food processors. Citrus specialization: Significant commercial experience with citrus ingredients, particularly NFC juices, concentrates, essential oils, and aromas. Relevant product knowledge: Experience with juices, fruit concentrates, IQF products, fruit purées, and other fruit derivatives. Established customer network: Existing relationships with international buyers, traders, blenders, flavor houses, distributors, and industrial food and beverage companies. International commercial track record: Demonstrated success with leading international businesses and extensive experience in the US and European markets. Experience in the GCC region is an advantage. Global expansion capabilities: Proven ability to scale commercial operations, enter new markets, develop strategic partnerships, and accelerate international growth. Commercial and financial expertise: Strong capabilities in pricing, revenue optimization, margin management, forecasting, profitability, and P&L ownership. Strategic competencies: Expertise in market analysis, commercial planning, product and category management, international business development, digital marketing, and branding. Leadership and communication: Strong team-building, mentoring, negotiation, stakeholder management, and change management skills. Operational understanding: Familiarity with supply chain and logistics considerations in international food ingredients businesses. AI and digital capabilities: An interest in applying AI tools and digital technologies to improve commercial processes and decision-making. Languages: Professional fluency in English is required. French, Italian, or Spanish is a strong advantage. Benefits: Executive leadership opportunity: Take ownership of global commercial strategy and directly influence business growth and market positioning. International scope: Lead commercial activities across North America, Europe, the GCC, and other global markets. Strategic impact: Help scale a broad portfolio of value-added fruit and citrus ingredients for industrial B2B customers. Advanced manufacturing environment: Contribute to the commercial development of a business investing approximately USD 300 million in a modern production facility. Portfolio diversity: Work across citrus and fruit concentrates, purées, essential oils, aromas, frozen produce, and freeze-dried ingredients. Permanent employment contract offering long-term professional engagement. Flexible location options: The preferred arrangement is based in Cairo, Egypt, with an alternative split between Cairo and Europe. The posting also indicates worldwide remote availability; the final arrangement should be confirmed with the hiring team.
